These smoked sausages were absolutely delicious and quickly became one of my favorite snacks. As someone from South Africa, I grew up enjoying dried sausage and cured meat snacks, so these immediately appealed to me. The flavor is rich, smoky, and very satisfying. They are perfect as a quick snack while working, watching television, or traveling, and they feel like a more filling alternative to constantly reaching for sugary snacks or crisps. The quality was excellent, the texture was great, and I will definitely be buying them again. If you enjoy smoked meat snacks or are looking for something different from traditional chips and candy, these are well worth trying.

I got "Double smoked" because it shows the lowest sodium. We been eating them for 3 weeks until I read the package "consume within 3 days after opening" 😂 It's fiiiine. They really taste as good as new, but MAYBE slightly more firm from sitting in the fridge, hardly noticeable. They're a great protein snack if you're trying to make small adjustments to your diet like I am.

My brother doesn't have as high an opinion of these, at least in part because he wants to wolf them down, which is not the intention. These aren't slim jims etc with too much moisture, salt, and artificial flavors or crap filler. These actually are Cattleman style... where you want to make a little, last a long time (kind of like biltong and other types of jerky, in the great outdoors, popular in places like Africa and Australia.). You're supposed to eat them slow, savor them, and suck the flavor out. They're "too dry" in my brother's opinion, but that's by design. Less moisture means they keep better, and won't get moldy as quickly when you're keeping them in a saddlebag or backpack or are out in variable (e.g., wet, humid) weather conditions. (Multiple times, I've had major mainstream brand stuff arrive already moldy, nowhere close to expiration and straight from the warehouses. But I've never had that kind of quality issue with Cattleman's Cut.)

Definitely better if consumed quickly, they have decent flavor but tend to get tough & casings get horribly wrinkly after a short time, not a fan of them after that
