Hippo Car Seat
This is the best car seat I ever used. It lifts me up just the right amount ....around an inch and it is soft velour. It fits in my Altima driver seat perfectly. Thank you!

It's a keeper.
This is a game changer for me. Removes a lot of what I call pitch back from my office chair. It can't fix my horrible lower back problems and sciatica. But definitely improves my sitting endurance and stamina. I will try in my car after this stupid snow storm. I have also ordered a small lumbar pillow on the way from the same company.

Good design
I really like the shape and overall size of this. It fits my suv drivers seat perfectly. I just wish it was firmer or thicker. It's too soft to provide any real support. I'm 150 lbs. and when I sit on it, it squishes down to almost nothing. I like that it's soft, so maybe if it was just thicker to start with, then when you sit, it would be the right height. I'm considering ordering a 2nd one and doubling them up. Or possibly buying some foam at a local craft store and cutting to the same shape. The cover does not have a zipper, so i'd have to cut the fabric to put anymore filling inside. Close but not quite great.

won out in head-to-head comparison of 5 kinds
All at one time we ordered these 5 seat cushions for comparison, for my wifeโs use (5 feet even) in the car and sitting long hours at home as a student at her desk/computer: โ *Big Hippo (ASIN B07L2QXJ8C) (this one) โ Desk Jockey (ASIN B0182I5W86) [returning] โ ComfySure (ASIN B08NCH2X49) [returning] โ Everlasting Comfort (ASIN B075DRS4C9) [returning] โ *iHealthComfort (ASIN B078JGQZ4X) In the end, she has chosen to keep the Big Hippo and the iHealthComfort โ long-term results TBD! โ but in any case, in her few minutes of head-to-head comparison, and an hour of use of the iHealthComfort at the desk, her choice was clear. The Big Hippo compresses down to probably only 1/2โ โ which in the car she still finds to be a great height improvement! The problem with the thicker iHealthComfort, on the other hand, is that the roof of the car slopes down as it moves forward to join the windshield โ but to reach the pedals with her legs, she has to move the seat far forward! โ with the result that with the thicker one, any craning of the neck results in brushing or even bumping the roof with her head. Other than that... the rest of the comparison is purely subjective... your mileage may vary! And just because of the comparison results, we are quite arbitrarily giving the 2 chosen ones 5 stars, and the others 4 stars...

Not Memory Foam
Buyer beware. The description states that this is a memory foam cushion. It is not. Mine arrived today and there is no memory about the foam, at all. It is just regular foam inside, and it's not even very firm. I bought the Big Hippo lumbar pillow, and I love it. That one is memory foam. Suffice it to say I am disappointed. I'll be returning this one.

Too Soft, No Extra Height Given
This pillow looked perfect but when I received it, it was not what I expected. The foam collapsed and squished when I squeezed it with my hands and just disappeared when I sat on it. It did not hold its shape or stay firm. When I placed the holders through the seat it positioned the cushion too far back and I was barely sitting on it. If you are looking for something that will give you support and provide you with the 1 inch height help, this is not it.

Filled dip in Subaru Outback driver's seat
My Outback seats are tipped back so much that the backs of my knees/thighs were sore when I arrived after my 1 hour commute each day. First I tried the "Sojoy Car Seat Cushion Wedge Driving Cushion" but it was too thick and made me too tall in the car (I'm 5'6"). I realized I just needed something at the back of the seat to flatten it out a bit so got this Big Hippo (unfortunate naming!). It stays put by threading those circles through the seat's crack. It is maybe slightly thin but worked great for relieving the front pressure on my legs about 2 years but now seems to have lost some of its "loft" so I am just buying another one to replace it. I may see if I can stack them if the new one alone doesn't do the trick. The cover on mine looked more velvety than the pictures today but not a big deal.

The only Sciatic Pain Relief cushion
I suffer from sciatic pain. Car seats are the worst when it comes to sciatica. I am extremely happy I found this product. I tried many more expensive products before this that claim to help but end up returning them. Using this cushion, the car seat is very comfortable. I donโt have sciatic pain using this cushion. The price is great too. Trust me. Youโll be glad ๐๐ P.S. PERFECT THICKNESS. Others are too thick and will overfill the seat creating sciatic pain.
