Wasn't sure but love them. Have owned every version of the Hammerheads.
Okay. So I've been a hammerhead owner from v1/gen 1 and had each one. (The original ones were always the best in my opinion. Thumpy base, you could have run them over with a dump truck and they would have been okay). In fact I always kept the actual ear bud adapter from the original set and used them on the others. My cats, have eaten every single pair...IE me having to buy the new version every few years... In saying that I was really jazzed about the braided cable. I have a pair of Krakens and the braided cable saved them from a chew attempt. Let me say I didn't like the V2 of the hammerheads so I was semi hesitant about getting these. The fit of the earbud adapter is so good it almost removes earwax pulling them out so suffice to say that the noise cancellation is just fine. Plugged into my phone the sound is okay, there is a certain clarity I think due to the 2nd armature driver that the others didn't have. Now. I love bass..that is a deal breaker on my end. Razer is a PC gaming company so yeah, I threw my gaming rig at them for music. Now mind you I have a sound blaster with a headphone amp and several software equalizers going so I can toss some serious wattage at these things. They soar. The bass rumbles and crawls like it should so you can 'feel' it. No distortion in the highs or mids, in fact I think that armature driver covers the high end of the bass freq's rather well where a single driver might not cover it, if that makes sense. They have a 'tighter' sound compared to earlier models.Anyway, beyond happy I gave these a chance!

Good sound - mid mic
The microphone in these headphones is very bad; it can't catch the sound from a distance.

Platform: PC - Great for those who get tension headaches from headsets
PC Review:I tried a ton of different headsets and they all gave me headaches after wearing for 30+ minutes (tension from the headset clamped to my ears). These headcahes were so consistent that I needed to switch to in-ear headphones. Razer a well known brand, so I found these and they have been amazing. They don't sound as nice as a full headset but my tension headaches are 100% gone and these never fall out of my ears/are comfortable to keep in.The mic isn't all that great but it'll do the job. I'd suggest getting a stand alone mic (I got a $15 one off Amazon) and downloading some audio software like Voicemeeter and NVIDIA Broadcast - my friends on discord say my voice comes in really clear. I'd also suggest downloading Voicemeeter to adjust the output audio if you don't have a Razor USB soundcard already

Very happy with these
Been listening to them for a few weeks and comparing against other earbuds as well as some IEMs and open-back headphones. They are comfortable and seem well made. For example, the braided cord and the metal construction of the ear pieces inspire confidence in durability, although in all honesty I cannot speak to that myself. The sound is very pleasant. They will not blow your ear drums off with lows, and will not astound you with mids or highs. But they sound good. I've listened to them up to a few hours in a row, but I don't see why I couldn't listen to them all day. Comfort is not only the fit, it's also how tiring the sound can be and these sound just comfy.

Good headphones that lack comfort.
I picked these up after i got sick of the audio dropping out of my beats headphones. The braided cable is nice and the audio quality is also very clean. The two problems i am running into is that the volume control doesn't work with my computer. I can't change the volume from the built in controls. I would think that for a gaming company that would be a function but i may be wrong. The other problem i am running into is that they aren't very comfortable. Because of the dual driver, the body is much larger and i tend to have to adjust the headphones to keep the part of the headphone that houses the driver from pressing into my ear. It can get pretty painful and annoying after extended use. I like the headphones i just really wish my ears didn't hurt after an hour of wearing these.

Waste of your time
I JUST received these today (30 minutes ago), and put them back into their box minutes before I started this review.I fiddled with these for a bit, testing the different size buds that are included (it's the usual small, med, and large)Based on my brief experience with these, and keeping Amazon's features to rate (sound quality, noise cancellation, comfort) in mind, I'd rate this a fat ZERO (or, at least I would if there was that option). Here's why:1) GENERAL USER EXPERIENCE: Just trying to change the buds out to test fit was a 5-minute struggle each time. They're held in place with a ring inside the bud itself that nestles into a groove that's cut out on the actual unit. The aluminum that Razer uses for these earbuds ARE nice! That's a plus. However! They kept slipping out of my fingers every. time. I tried to switch the buds out.(And I don't THINK I'm that incompetent.)2) FIT: Whenever I did test fit, the earbuds either felt too large and would start straining my ears, or they were too small (even the medium buds didn't work, I guess I have weird ears) and would almost just hang there ready to fall out.3) SOUND: Now, I'm no sound engineer, but the audio SEEMED ok. The problem here is that these buds wouldn't seal for the life of me. So, the bass didn't feel good and punchy. Instead, it felt like an upset 4-year old trying their hardest to punch my calf. The mids and highs were almost non-existent, like this thing wanted to whisper sweet nothings of music into my ears, but had performance anxiety.4) PRICE: Bear in mind that these earbuds carry a $60 price tag. I compared these to a pair of older earbuds I had for a few years, the AKG: OEM Stereo Headphones. You can get these AKG's here on Amazon, for only $10. (Okay, it's $10.80 if you wanna be that guy) Anyway, the AKG's were lighter, sealed properly, and sounded much better than these Razer earbuds. I felt the bass caress me and lull me into the sweet abyss that is the wubs. Clear, though not vibrant, mids and the highs were present and accounted for.Summary: You're better off getting audio peripherals elsewhere, possibly a company/brand that's actually touted to be all about audio first, anything else second. To be fair, I did only give these earbuds 30 minutes of my life, but I was very dissatisfied with what I received. I don't know if there's a "break-in" period for these, but why would there be such a thing in the first place? In any case, you're a grown-ass adult. You make your choice. Just know I made mine, and I won't make that same mistake.
