Bud Industries JB-3956 Steel NEMA 1 Sheet Metal Junction Box 8 L x 6 W x 4 D, Gray, No Knockouts

Great project box for building radio gear, Takes drill and paint well, sturdy and able to take some abuse, four-screw mount on face plate gives almost full access to inside, has .25 inch lip for holding the face side screws and this does cut down on access a bit, I mounted a ham radio transceiver in my Kubota RTV 1100 with this box as a housing bolted to the frame. Major draw back is the long wait for the boat from China. Very hard to find this size in on-hand stock. Took three weeks to arrive. Great product but plan ahead.

This is a good sturdy project box. Worked well for my application.

This box is excellent quality as I would expect from BUD and the price was good. This is exactly what I was looking for. There are no pre-punched knockouts on the sides so I'll be able to place them exactly as I need them, etc. One side will have a 40 Amp 12 volt transformer mounted and the front will have a pair of 30 Amp single-pole-double-throw switches mounted.

Good box for my project. Fit and finish could be slightly better, but it was a good price.

This is my third BUD box and very please with the overall quality, packaging and cost. These are a far better deal than many of the traditional box manufactures. Heavy gauge steel, great finish and welds and it will arrive in good shape due to the packaging. Give one a try.

Good quality junction box. UL and ULc certified, made in China. No knockouts. Cut your own openings.

Too many electrical enclosures have holes that the user is expected to form threads in, by forcing the screws. This rarely ends well. It was such a joy to find the holes in this enclosure were properly threaded and the screws went in nicely.

Not my first BUD product and definitely not my last. They are worth far more than what they are asking for.
