I don't think I could rate any stars for this product except for the 5 stars I give to Amazon for their customer service. I had a lot of options to buy from different vendors and I researched this product extensively. So I was very dismayed upon the arrival. Now, it is true that the product is supposed to come dismantled, and it is possible that Amazon sent me one that had been returned to them, but it doesn't excuse the shoddy workmanship from a company that has a "good" reputation. The pieces were not uniform...the house was flimsy, the panels on the roof were cracked as were some of the front panels. A portion of the roof on the end was knocked off because it was so thin. If I had put this outside, my cat would have been drenched from the rain because of all the gaps and cracks. Amazon was kind enough to offer a return, but since I am in Hawaii, I told them I would accept some compensation after my carpenter took a look. It turned out that the entire house fell apart when he picked it up and he had to re-assemble it (it won't fall apart now) as well as re- build the roof. My first hint about this company should have been when I called the vendor to ask about some other products they offered and they never returned my call. Do not waste your money on this house. You will be disappointed...and it doesn't look at all like the picture that is shown. I have never been so disappointed in a product ....especially one that prides itself for being made in the USA. Shame on you Smith Family Mills!
