Punk Goes...
I had the mp3s of these songs forever ago on an ancient outdated mp3, I love it and was interested in listening to the songs again (because I lost them) and fell in love all over ago. Some really good covers!

If you would find it enjoyable to hear a bunch of white guys take a shot at hip hop this is a great buy for you. This is by no means going to win a grammy but it is what it is.Good covers of recognizable songs.

What Can I say?
Im not going to get into too elaborate of a review because, well its Punk goes Crunk. I was pretty reluctant to listen to this album but I figured, hey... i like punk and i like certain kinds of rap so why not give it a shot. Most of the songs on the CD are actually pretty decent, and not like what you would expect them to be.Worst songs on the CD- put yo hood up, nuthin but a G thang, and Hey Ya... the hey ya version is okay in this CD but the one those dudes did on youtube is a helluva lot better.Top 3 songs on this CD for me- I got your money, notorious thugs, and NFG's version of Tennessee.I gave it four stars instead of 3 bc out of 15 songs I dont like 3, so I figure if I like 12 songs on a CD, it gets an extr star. I dont take this album seriously (i.e. wouldnt blast it whilst driving my car) but take it with a grain of salt and take it as it is.... a novelty CD by the "punk goes" series thats trying different things.

Punk actually went Crunk, and nobody thought there was something wrong with that
"Punk Goes Crunk" is the latest offering from the "Punk Goes..." series by Fearless Records. My main problem with the album is that while each song is supposed to be a COVER, reinterperted by a band from a different genre, almost every song sounds like an actual hip-hop song. While it's hard to make a hip-hop song sound like anything other than hip-hop, there is a definite lack of electric guitars, fast drums, and shouting (all necessary punk rock characteristics). On older "Punk Goes..." albums, there were actually covers that sounded like punk rock songs. This album is more imitation than covering. Also, while I do like that punk rock bands like Set Your Goals, All Time Low, New Found Glory, and others are on this album, there's some bands that don't even belong on it at all! And this has nothing to do with song quality. The CD is called "Punk Goes Crunk." PUNK. So what are The Secret Handshake, The Devil Wears Prada, and Emanuel doing on this CD? There may be a slight influence from punk in each, but they are not punk rock bands.Take the first "Punk Goes..." CD, 2000's "Punk Goes Metal." Jughead's Revenge, AFI, The Ataris, Ten Foot Pole, and others are all on that CD. Actual punk rock bands! And, each song was a COVER, a reinterpretation by the band performing the song, not an imitation.I'd say this CD isn't worth it. Go grab the first one though, it's awesome.

Still Fly
I think this cd is great. There are a few songs on the CD that aren't nearly "punk" enough. However the high points of the CD are Still Fly, The Seed 2.0, and Notorius Thugs. The Devil Wears Prada version of Still Fly is really great.

Crunk 1, Punk 0
Just by the samples on this cd alone, it's not worth the $$. The only decent track on here is actually All Time Low's version of Umbrella. Everything else fails to capture hip-hop in a punk setting.

Hip-Hop
