Elastic-free 100% Organic Linen Drawstring Boxers. RG808L Lyon Elastic-free 100% Organic French Linen Drawstring Boxers are heritage through and through. Because many of our customers cannot tolerate elastic and synthetics for health reasons, we created these Organic Linen Boxers 18 years ago and they have since become a classic among our customers. We went back to heritage linen boxers of 200 years ago before elastics were created and learned how it was done. Please note: we have stock from several productions. Some feature drawstrings on the inside and some on the outside. And some feature slits on the side; others don't. Future productions will be like the Alpine Meadow Blue one pictured. If you are particular, please specify your preferences in the "Comments" box at checkout and let us know to substitute a different color that sits your requirements or if it's OK to send the stock we have in the color you have chosen in case we don't have the particular specifications in your color of choice. Our Organic French Linen Boxers are breathable and perfect for year-round wearing and wonderful as pajama shorts, too. Made in-house at our European Atelier from organic French linen for true purity and environmental sustainability. Made in Europe. Sweatshop-free. Many customers who suffer from skin allergies, rashes, psoriasis, and eczema have reported relief and disappearance of symptoms when they start wearing organic linen and hemp underwear. Especially in winter, when indoor dry heat causes temperature buildup, our customers report that their skin conditions are much improved by wearing linen or hemp underwear.

Absurd Sizing System
The quality of linen seems perfectly fine.Their sizing is absolutely bonkers. I ordered a large, which on their size chart is 36-38 inches. As you can see in my photo, the tape measure of the front is at 24 inches. Meaning, the underwear all the way around is 48 inches. I understood beforehand that the sizing might be slightly off because I was accustomed to elastic waistband measurements. I didn't think it would be 10 inches of difference though. They either labeled the tag incorrectly and sent me a XXXL, never created the listed size chart and a buyer was supposed to guess their size based on nothing, or they think its fashionable to scrunch up 10 inches of material around the waist with a one size fits all underwear. Imagine Thai fisherman pants with a drawstring and you get the idea.I wouldn't have gone to the length of typing this much, if it wasn't for the fact that "Items that are not returnable are underwear..." For which I completely understand the reasoning of, it just seems like they could of put some more effort in what should be expected.

Otherwise nicely made, of good material
As another reviewer helpfully mentioned, the waist to size ratio here is way off; for me, by about 4 inches — and I ordered a size down. This extra width can be partially remedied by pulling the drawstring as tightly as it will go, or presumably by swapping the drawstring for an elastic, but the cut itself ought to be adjusted. Otherwise nicely made, of good material, and as represented.

Dont Fret the big size. Linen is supposed to shrink. Linen Shrinks a lot!! But its amazing!
Most comfortable boxers I ever worn period, well the same quality I used to sew myself with my 1913 singer sewing machine, but that is time consuming. The flax linen is European grade. For those questioning the size please realize that pure raw linen shrinks quite a bit. A lot when i opened up my package I was like wtf! But I remembered, and washed them in hot water. Tumble dry low and let them dry naturally. Dryers are bad for all fibers. You dont want to ruin these underwear. Get an xl and buy yourself an elastic draw string. Problem solved. I love the simplicity of this especially if your weight changes. You always have a perfect fit. So breathable and cool and these are new!! linen gets better and better with age. I have Trishes Rough linen sheets. Been sleeping cool for years now. Cotton sucks compared to Linen. It doesent breathe the same. We've been lied to our whole lives about cotton and all over the world people have been enjoying hemp and linen fibers. Political textile monopolies kept us in cotton. With cotton buy the time it gets soft its getting holes and you got to buy new ones. I plan on buying many more of these. After years of buying polo and other cotton brands. It just gets frustrating when the elastics wear out or they shrink too much. This is the way underwear should be made. Like I said for years I been trying to find nice cool roomy underwear and my only option was to make my own from scratch which made me look homeless because Im not that great of a tailor lol. Now its so worth it to spend 30 bucks on underwear that I know are going to last for years and years and keep the boys cool year around. If your a man and don't know about the benefits of linen research them. Splurge on a Tommy Brahama shirt take a stroll when its 110 degrees and tell me it aint cooler than cotton. Then come back and buy these boxers and be happy and cool. They look manly and natural. Women dont want to see you in no nylon G string. Maybe they do I dont know. Lol. All I know is I wear these under jeans, under black hot work pants, and havent had a problem. They are nice when your work all day. I would probably get a smaller size for under wool suit pants or maybe different underwear alltogether because you wouldnt want to see underwear lines underneath Id imagine. But for sleeping and anything else these are the way to go.
