Bought it for our 8 year old baseball crazy grandson who aspires to become a catcher. I read it myself today and I know he is going to love it.

8 year old grandson who plays baseball. Loved learning about one of my favorite player/coachs ever.

Yogi was a wonderful inspiration for me when I was growing up and this books, designed for kids, will allow the younger ones among us to get a sense of who Yogi was and why he was such an influence on so many.

My great nephew was very engaged with this book;it surprised him concerning the life experiences confronted by Yogi such as calling him "ugly."The reading level was appropiate,and he loved story as well as the art work!A At for this biography!!

Great book!

Terrific children's book, "Yogi: The Life, Loves, and Language of Baseball Legend Yogi Berra," tells a simple story of a great guy who loved baseball. It's inspiring and funny. My son was fully engaged from the first quote, "It was fun. If I had to do it over again, I'd do it again." Lawrence "Yogi" Berra was a man to admire for his determination to play and his love for the game, but most of all for his love for family and friends. Reading this book with my son made me wish I'd had the opportunity to meet this man, not just because he was one of the greatest baseball players of all time, but because he was one of the greatest Americans, one of the greatest regular guys, of all time. I highly recommend this book for any kid 10 and under. It has a fantastic bibliography and wonderful illustrations. We enjoyed it.

Love all the background info on Yogi. Barb is such a wonderful writer. Love all her books. Very informational!
