I can play with it for hours at a time
This is the most awesome toy. I can play with it for hours at a time. It also helps me calm down when I get upset. My doctor recommended it along with some fidget toys so I stop picking at my fingers. Anyway, I found that if you get too carried away the strings can become tangled. So be careful. It's best to just play with it on your bed and not carry it around. Warning, the soft clicking of the metal balls irritates some people when they watch TV. The noise doesn't bother me at all but my si-fi friends, Randy and Kyle get all upset every time I pull this out during our Battlestar Galactica marathons.

good quality
Purchased this for my grandson. Choose this one after reading the reviews. So many were not happy with the cheaper ones you can get. This one has a good weight to the balls so it stays in motion longer. Nice quality. I am very happy with it and my grandson was so excited to receive it for his 7th birthday.

It sucks opening up something new
Got this for my son for Christmas. Read some of the reviews and was aware that some said this was a cheap product and had problems with the strings. Knowing some people had issues with this right out of the box, we carefully opened it, only to find the middle ball completely broke off....not by the string but the little metal cylinder that the string loops through was not attached to the ball, broken right at the solder point. It sucks opening up something new, only to find it already broken. Would not recommend buying this product.

Not High Quality, but Sturdy Enough For Children.
This was bumped up from average because of its popularity with my children; it was a Christmas present for them. On the down side, when swung around, the balls get tangled up, and it can be difficult to untangle them. Additionally, the alignment seems slightly off, and the perpetual motion stops in less than a minute. The collision with the clacking sound keeps the kids entertained, almost mesmerized by it. At least until they start fighting over who is going to swing them. It's a decent size, and the base is stable enough to hold it in place, plus it's sturdy enough to handle small children fighting over it. the base is a heavy wood particulate, the bars and balls steel, and the lines are a filament like fishing line, welded between into the bar and balls. To assemble it, you just slide the bar ends into the holes in the base, just make sure they're fully seated.

It's OK, nothing to write home about.
It's cheaply made from cheap materials, about what you could expect for the price. It is not heavy duty by any means, but works OK. The balls are not heavy enough to stay still & all end up swinging to some degree regardless of how many are swung.

Sturdy Design, Works as Expected
I got this for a friend for graduation and so far it seems to do exactly what it's supposed to do. You can demonstrate conservation of momentum and energy with one, two, three, or even four balls. Seems pretty sturdy and stayed in place when being used.

Good Quality!
Product was received in good condition and on time. I really liked the quality of the product. The weights were protected by Styrofoam pads and they were in great shape. The threads were found tangled in the Styrofoam pad so they must be carefully removed to not damage them.

Cheap packaging and generally cheap product
When I took it out of the box one of the strings was detached from the silver plastic bar. You could tell it was really cheap packaging and the structure itself seemed pretty cheap as well, all plastic with just some fish line suspending the metal balls. Also the broken string was on the ball second from the right, so it kind of disabled the whole thing and I couldn't reattach it with superglue and I ended up throwing it out. I think if the packaging had been given a bit more thought and care the line might not have broken. Otherwise I'm sure the actual device would have been fine, just disappointing because I was so excited to get it only for it to be broken before I could use it.

Good quality. Wooden 7" base with no tangled strings
It was a good size wooden 7" base (not plastic). The strings were not tangled at all (not like others I read). It was neatly packaged in a box with the strings and metal balls neatly separated. It was easy to assemble by placing each pole in the 4 holes in each corner of base then it was ready to use. The metal balls are nice and shiny. No rust. No tangled strings. Large wooden 7" base (not plastic). I always wanted one. Good price. Good quality. Good purchase!
