Review: No nonsense car shampoo - I'm a 57 year old detailer with over 40 years of experience. I've used about every car shampoo out there, but I keep coming back to the original Adam's and to CGs Maxi-Suds II . Both are simple car shampoos that do exactly what they are meant to do . This old school Adam's shampoo is just a no nonsense car wash that has a few paint brighters in it without being full of gimmicky waxes ( I do not like wash-n-wax car washes, they are garbage) yet cleans well . This really isn't meant for foam cannons, but works well enough in them. If you want a great foam cannon pre-wash use CarPro lift instead. Do NOT let this dry on your vehicle panels, I don't care what any brand claims, all brands will spot or leave residue if you don't use some common sense and keep the vehicle wet while washing. It smells great, is budget friendly ( if bought in the gallon size ) it produces great bubbles if used in a bucket wash , and if you are using it in a foam cannon while using an electric pressure washer, change your foam cannons orifice from a 1:2 to a 1:1 for shaving cream foam results. There are plenty of videos on YouTube that will show you how to change your foam cannon orifice. If I keep going back to it and I wash both normal and high dollar supercars then you know it works. Adam's is a reputable name in the detailing industry and there is a reason behind that, It's because Adam's works. Pro tip: during cold weather, bring Adam's ( or any other car wash ) indoors in a climate controlled room or it may freeze, separating the chemicals in the shampoo that will turn it into jello.

A: I just called Adam's support and spoke to Christian.  It is NOT BIODEGRADABLE and everyone should be clear on that.  It is "bio friendly" ie "won't kill anything".  Look elsewhere for biodegradeable car shampoo - which is rare and usually weak compared to non-biodegradeable counterparts

**Q: What makes this twice the price as any other ph neutral soap?**
A: I USE IT IN A FOAM CANNON. 3 OZ. PER QUART. IT LASTS FOREVER AND IS A GREAT PRODUCT. WILL NOT USE ANYTHING ELSE ON MY CAR. BUY IT YOU WON'T REGRET IT. WELL WORTH THE PRICE

A: Yes, I usually just throw away the red cap after I open it.

**Q: Hi, currently using adams car shampoo and sonax (243400) spray and seal, do you have a better product or way for this full protection?**
A: We would recommend using Adam's Graphene CS3 which is a very versatile product that can be used as a spray and wipe, drying aid, or waterless wash.  We believe this will outperform because of the Graphene Oxide technology.  If you wanted an apples to apples product we would recommend Adam's H2O Guard & Gloss which has been a fan favorite for years. Thanks!

I used such a small amount to wash my whole vehicle. My suv has a ceramic coating, this is why I picked this shampoo. I love how much foam it made with very little product. I washed the vehicle in the late evening so that the suds didn't dry too quickly. The soapy layer rinsed off with the greatest of ease with no lingering residue. I'm sure I'll get year of use from this large container. Do let me know if there is anything better for a ceremic coating finish. Much appreciated.
