My dog plays a kids piano and I would love to teach her to play a song on these but she only weighs 5 lbs so it has to have a light touch Does it?

These definitely have a light touch and should work for this. What a fun project, make sure to post a video when you have the dog playing them.

Would these stand up to playful parrots with destructive beaks?

Not sure about parrots - but they’ve stood up to my 1 1/2 year old and 4 year old as they carry them around and bang them. They’re pretty durable.

Does anyone know the box dimensions?

Musical instrument desk bells package dimensions 7.8 x 6.8 x 6.8 inches | Weight: 2.44 pounds

I'm wondering which set would work best for my pre-K to K class, to hold up well and sound accurate, but not be so loud as to disturb the whole class?

The colorful musical instrument bells will fit your class perfectly! The multicolor desk bells are much louder.
