Growing Information: Seeds will benefit from cold stratification. Place your seeds in a moist medium such as paper towels, rockwool or sand and put them in the fridge for 3-4 weeks. After removing them from the fridge sow the seeds at a depth of ¼". Japanese Red Cedar can tolerate a wide range of soils but should ideally be grown in a well-draining fertile soil that is deeply tilled. It is best to grow the plants indoors or in a greenhouse until they becomes established, at which time they can be situated in full sun to partial shade.
