Moonlight Slumber Little Star Crib Mattress - Firm, Dual Sided, Standard Size, Waterproof, 5in.

Just purchased & already completely happy, my baby is not due till July 4,2020. So I will update probably a couple months towards the end of this year, did lots of research and was either between this mattress or a Newton. But newton has really bad reviews surprisingly, so far glad I made this choice 🤞🏽

This mattress has really impressed me. I got it for my 15mo son. We had an $80 reversible mattress for him that I haven't been too happy with. You can really feel where the springs are in it. If an adult puts any weight on it, it basically folds in half.Well none of that is true with the Moonlight Slumber mattress. It is foam all the way through, so it's soft (no pokey springs) and firm (an adult can kneel on it out lie down on it and it holds up!) all at the same time. It comes with a waterproof cover that zips up entirely (no trying to keep it in place...) so you just throw a basic fitted sheet on it and it's good to go. I didn't pull the mattress out of the cover, so I don't know if there's a tag that says which side is infant and which is toddler, but it was easy to squish it a bit and find the softer side for my toddler.I love that it's reversible. When we have our next child, we'll upgrade my son to a full sized bed and flip this one over to the infant side for the baby.It's also friendly to allergies. We haven't used it long enough to see a difference there yet, but I don't worry about him sticking his face against the mattress when he sleeps since it's organic and not all nasty.I was iffy on the price at first, but this is a true investment for your child. It will last a long time and serve us well.I received the product mentioned above for free or greatly discounted in exchange for my review. The latest safety guidelines say to purchase a firm crib mattress. For our first crib mattress, we went to the local big-box retail store and purchased a $40 crib mattress. There's a night and day difference between that one and this one. While that one said "firm," this one defines firm.It is waterproof (we tested it!) and has a very thin soft top layer and very (very) firm bottom layer. It's light weight but very well made.None of the corners or the middle sag. The firmness helps to prevent SIDS deaths. I can definitely understand the added value this mattress offers over a less expensive one.I was sent this product by mail for free in exchange for an honest review. We have two kids and are expecting our third, and we will absolutely use this mattress for them - this review was written because this product was tested for my own child.

I sure made the right decision on this purchase. The Little Star Organic Crib mattress by Moonlight is amazing. I love the organic cover - it's so easy to remove for washing, and the stretch knit underneath helps keep the mattress clean. The Little Start is a great product for a great price. I am so happy with my choice!
