I bought these to replace synthetic scourers as I'm trying to cut down on plastic use.Came in 3 layers of plastic packaging.....If you care about being sustainable in the slightest, don't buy.

Great idea but in theory not that great to use unless it's just plates & pans you intend to wash with them. Not good on glasses & cups as you can't fit the sponge in some glassware such as wine glasses especially.They are still very hard even when fully soaked, I will persevere though until I find a better eco-friendly dish washing sponge.They are also very hard to ring the excess water out of, so not great for cleaning the kitchen counter or cooker as they leave everything soaking wet due to holding a lot of water even after trying to ring them out.Another complaint is that they arrive in a plastic bag, which is stupid as anyone buying these is buying them trying to cut down on disposable plastics. So why not package them in something biodegradable instead?

I’ve been waiting to write this review just to make sure it’s as accurate as possible. All in all, fantastic product.It’s a very different feel from a normal dish scourer, so it takes a while to get used to how it behaves. Puffs up nicely after a few seconds in water on first use. Can be stiff at first but gets softer over time the more you use it. Easy to drip-dry and doesn’t get smelly if left wet. It’s just as effective on tough stains and spots on your dishes, but it can be tricky to get into corners so the trick is just to leave your dishes soaking for a bit longer before scrubbing. The durability is fantastic - I’m still on my first one, it’s still not coming apart like the usual sponge scourers do. It feels satisfying knowing it will decompose at the end of its life, rather than stick around in landfill for 500 years.I’ve given it 4 stars instead of five just because I wouldn’t recommend it for those with mobility problems in their hands, e.g. arthritis. It requires quite a strong grip in order to twist and bend it how you want, so if you do have issues with your hands, this may not be for you. Other than that, one of my new favourite sustainable products for sure!

These plastic free fully biodegradable pads are lightly abrasive and great for light cleaning, e.g wiping the kitchen counters and the hob down if they don’t need scrubbing hard, the shower and bath and doing light washing up. Tougher cleaning will need something more abrasive like a coconut fibre scourer. They have hoops which are handy for hanging them on taps etc to dry and stay hygienic, plus they go through the washing machine fine, really durable. Would buy again.

Seem like a good product. I'm using them in the kitchen and bathroom.Sending them in a plastic bag though?? Ridiculous!

These loofahs are incredibly stiff/inflexible but the fibers are not very strong for scouring. They will remove moderately caked on food that has been adequately soaked, but forget about trying to use it to scrub a pot that has burnt on deposits -- its not a replacement for a tough (green colored) scouring pad or steel wool. They seem to be constructed of two loofah surfaces or fibres that have been glued and sewn together.You'd be better off just buying a normal loofah and cutting it up into pieces either lengthwise or across the length for light scouring, and using steel scouring pads for heavy duty scouring.

They are great for scrubbing, but when wet they expand into a pillow-like shape, which is not always useful for getting along edges and into corners. But the best thing I’ve found to replace those plastic scrub sponges and they last for ages without losing their toughness.

Great, love these for washing up, was a bit sorry they came in a plastic beg, now wondering if that's to stop them getting getting damp and expanding.
