As I took it out of the secure packaging, I gave it a "test drive" on the world map that I purchased for my Grandson and its amazing how the finest small print appeared huge to my eye sight. It's a perfect Christmas gift for a child's early education. The hand-held magnifying glass is sturdy and well put together, it would fit perfectly in any younger child hand(s) and if accidentally dropped the sturdy material surrounding the handle and glass appears to be of hard rubber. After researching for my Grandson, Amazon had the right product for the right price. Delivery was fast, ordered it on 12/7/19 and received it on 12/9/19. Broke my last magnifying glass & picked this up as a replacement. Nice soft, easy to hold handle. Not too heavy so can be held for long duration. Good magnifying power so can easily read fine print or detailed instruction manuals. Might buy another to keep in a different part of the house. Good tool.

Perfect gift for every explorer! This was originally purchased for my six year old grandson who has every intention of becoming a paleontologist! It may well go off to college with him! But what we discovered is that it is very durable and often finds its way into the hands of the younger siblings in the home as they follow their brother’s lead to learn! Bought this for my sons stocking. I was worried about the sturdiness because is only three but wanted on and asked Santa for one. He likes pretending to solve crimes. This magnifying glass is great! He plays with it everyday and has dropped it many time without even a scratch on it!! Great purchase!

My son wanted a magnifying glass specifically for burning things. He's very happy to report that it works exactly as he envisioned. My husband tested it out and said it worked more effectively than any other magnifying glass he's tried it with. It only took seconds to create enough heat to start dried leaves smoking.

It’s ok for the price. I find it hard to get a good focus with the glass. It works but definitely isn’t a high grade magnifier. I do love the rubberized handle.

I bought this magnifying glass for my 4 year old grandaughter to play Mira Royal Detective. She loves the show and now she can look for clues and investigate bugs, flowers, grass, and such. It's a great size and the rubber casing is great for a toddler. I highly recommend this product.
