Once we got our puppy used to this, it has made clean up so much easier. The rake gets the undercoat of heavier coated dogs ( German Shepherds etc) that a slicker brush doesnt get to. I've noticed that he doesn't shed as much when we are diligent with this and the slicker brush and spend less time cleaning up dog hair around the house. His coat also looks better without the stray hairs sticking out.

Bought it for my Husky after reading a few reviews. It works ok, but I have another one that works better. Could be because he's still a puppy and his undercoat is not quite shedding but for me it's not the magic brush others claim... yet.

Its nice but no furminator
I like it but it's not AMAZING, it gets a good amount of hair, however, more than a regular brush but it's absolutely NOT like the Furminator. If you wet your dog's fur it does work better :). it may also depend on the length of your dog's hair.

WORKS GREAT FOR DOUBLE COATS!
I have a black GSD with a medium coat which is also a double coat for those unfamiliar with the breed. I must use more than one brush as I have not found just 1 brush to do every job but this is my number 1 go to brush as it takes dead hair from his upper and under coat. Great for your quick daily brush and a great starting brush before using a dedicated de-shedding brush.
