Best physician quick resource for medications
This is the best physician medication resource . It is also small enough to carry in your pocket, if needed. It also lists realtive costs, contraindications and dosing parameters.

Daily useful and great resource
I get multiple copies every year so there is one in every exam room. I like the larger size as there is so much more information, and they are easier to read. This is an invaluable medical resource I use every day as I prescribe. Numerous tables (steroids, OCPs, etc.) are useful for both me and patient.

Online tech is great but...
I love having this with me. Online point of care stuff is great but since I'm old and every once in a while in the boonies where I have no signal, I still like to have paper to look at and this is a good resource.

Great book to have
Small print, not for tired and aging eyes. The information is all pertinent and current. Great resource.

A very useful manual that doesn’t really work as well in ebook form unfortunately.
The online version mostly useless due to how it is presented. In contrast, the print version with its regular updates was my trusty companion for many years of medical practice. The organization and also tables were invaluable. Sometimes Old School is better

Not perfect, but still the best paper reference around.
The cons- sometimes drugs are still sold under names that aren't included in the book. Elavil will still get amitryptiline, for example. Some drugs are missing- Desoxyn, for example. Peds dosing is a bit of a mess.Pros- cheap, pocketable, and grossly pretty solid. Not perfect, but still better than the others out there.

Right size
I have had many of these Tarascon references and the trick is getting the right size. Big enough to have what you need and small enough to carry all the time. This one is just right for an ER.
