This would be a 5-star item except for a glaring design flaw: the shape of the spout. Rather than pointing straight down, it is angled only slightly down. This means that soap accumulates in the spout, and eventually partially clogs it, so that when you press the pump, it shoots outward rather than down. If I remember this, I can place my hand such that it still catches the soap, but when I forget (as often happens when in a hurry), it sprays over the top of my hand and onto the counter, or somewhere else that it makes a mess. This is extremely annoying, and could easily have been avoided with a better design.

UPDATE: three years after purchase and the pump is still working perfectly. We still use the heck out of it and it’s never failed to perform and still looks great. No rust in the stainless Steel.Original: Two years after purchase and the dispenser looks brand new. We use the pump every single day and the pump action is still going strong. I can’t tell you how many dispensers I bought before this one only to have the pump give out only months later. The Stainless still is also still spotless without any signs of rust. The bottle holds 16 ounces of liquid.I have nothing negative to say about this. Buy it!

Really (really!) like these soap dispensers (ordered two, one for kitchen and one for bathroom). At just a hair under 8.5" tall, these are sturdy and substantial glass liquid soap dispensers, with a brushed nickel metal pump. I specifically wanted substantial glass so as not to tip over easily, and brushed nickel-to match my decor, and these dispensers not only fulfilled my wish list-they work well, and NO DRIPS! Woo-hoo! Double-win! Having said all that, the best part of this particular order-was the customer service! There was a crack in the glass of one of the two dispensers that I ordered. The replacement I received was lightening quick, and the owners of the business were kind and gracious-well, outstanding! And no, I've never done business with them before-but will not hesitate to recommend them, their prompt and uber-courteous service!

I wanted to start using Bonner's Castile Soap because my hands have become very dry.I also wanted to get rid of the plastic dispensers I had because I'm eliminating all plastic from mykitchen. There are so many to choose from it's hard to know which will be a good choice.I didn't want to worry about the pump rusting, which I'd read about in reviews on some other ones.I ordered 3 of these, one each for soap and lotion in the kitchen and one for soap in thebathroom. I didn't need a lotion dispenser for the bathroom because I already have a decorativeglass one. These are a good size so you won't have to be refilling it every other day. The pump isstainless steel, works smoothly and easily. I've only had it one day but I have no problem with it.It's sitting on the back of the kitchen sink; one hand goes under the spout and the other pumps.It sits there. I was afraid it might be a problem with it sliding or tipping over but it doesn't.Very glad I opted for this Industrial Rewind dispenser and expect to get many years of use outof these. If a problem develops, I'll update this review, otherwise, I highly recommend,.

Yep, you push on the top and it has never failed to pump the appropriate amount of soap. Looks great, works great, etc.Why only four out of five stars? The smooth glass sides are a hazard as it can slip out of the hands when hands are soapy or wet. Add some texture or provide a plastic slip resistant stand/coaster and would be a five star product. Oh wait, the product description says that a coaster cam with the product. Unfortunately mine arrived without it or got lost. :-(When I break the glass container, I will put this pump at the top of the list and compare other products against it.

The soap dispenser came with a black lot number near the bottom: 1608250033. There are two vertical streaks - a slight flaw in the glass. The product is mailed by a third party, not Amazon. So Amazon customer service could not guarantee a better replacement without the lot number and glass streaks. I had bought a smaller 8oz soap dispenser 2 years ago on Amazon and did not encounter these issues (also it has worked well and not rusted for 2 years).On the bright side, the pumping mechanism works well for this 16oz dispenser. I use 7Generation clear liquid soap. The stainless metal pump looks beautiful. I addressed the issues (lot number and glass streaks) via live chat with an Amazon customer service staff. She gave me a happy resolution. The four stars are for good, reliable Amazon customer service.

I have bought two of these quality soap dispensers so far and will no doubt end up buying more. I bought the first one, a cobalt blue one, a full eighteen months ago, for use on a bathroom sink, and it is still showing no signs of corrosion or leakage around the pump. The clear one I bought last week is for hand soap, too, but at the kitchen sink; it replaces a more attractive but horribly leaky dispenser from another retailer. What a relief to no longer be forced to wipe up a spreading puddle of liquid soap goo from the sink and countertop! Not sure why it's so hard to find quality pumps for these bottles, but now that I've found someone who does sell them, I'm sticking to them. I just discovered they have two sizes, too, in addition to the different colors, so I might get the smaller (8 oz) one for a bathroom sink with more limited space. But I especially like the 16-oz ones because they don't need refilling so often. Highly recommended.

so my wife kept coming home with a variety of dispensers including two that were the automatic type. The automatic ones worked for a couple of weeks and then would either clog up or the batteries would die. Finally I decided to try this one based on the average great reviews it received and I sure am glad I did!. so far it has great suction and just the perfect amount of soap comes out with an average pump. You can adjust how much comes depending on how hard you push the pump. Too early to tell yet but time will tell if the Metal rusts or not....Otherwise I highly recommend this for the kitchen!!!
