Does What It Says
I used it to practice my draw and holding it. Where it really came in handy was as a way to warm up and stretch my shoulder, back and arm muscles before bow hunting in cold weather. It also offered a way to do simple stretching/band exercises. If it were a little cheaper I'd have given it five stars.

Working to strengthen the back musles used for operating a bow.
It's a simple device and works well.

For what this is...
The product works pretty decently, but lets be honest, for what it is it should be much cheaper.I'd like to give it a better review, but the price doesn't justify it /:

Good Product, but overpriced
This is a good product and works as advertised. It is expensive for what you get though. I would probably get a few stretch bands and save the money.

It just won't do.
You get a length of surgical tubing, a plastic tube for one handle and a length of stitched fabric for the other handle. The fabric bit is not too bad; you can put your hand through it like a release aid. That is just about all the good things I can say about this product. If you want to know how much weight you are pulling, or be consistent from session to session, you have to start making modifications to the thing yourself, because the parts are all designed to just slip around and the whole thing comes apart if you don't hold everything just so. That's just a lack of attention to detail and features; I could live with that, although for the money, I expect more. What I can not live with is that the hard edge of the plastic tube starts cutting right through the surgical tubing when you draw, if the length of tubing isn't perfectly equal above and below the handle. And again, this thing was "designed" to just flop around all over the place, so it's always at least a little bit out of alignment. This will not do. I've been using the device for about two weeks, and already the tubing is being seriously degraded. It's simply not safe, and I won't keep using it, even with safety glasses. Maybe I could replace the tubing and rig something with clips or a different handle, but then I've rebuilt just about the whole thing, haven't I?

Bowfit Exerciser
It's a simple device - heavy surgical tubing that can be doubled or tripled to increase the pull and a couple of grips to hold onto. It does help tone up the muscles that are used for pulling a bow and holding. Note that the Bowfit's draw starts light and becomes heaviest at full draw, in comparison to a compound bow (like most hunters shoot these days) which is heaviest as you start drawing and then gets lighter as the bow 'cams over.'

It’s versatile
It may be a bit pricey for what it is, but I use this before morning hunts to warm up my shoulder and back. I also carry it to the stand with me when it’s cold, and use it to stay limber. I would recommend it if you’re concerned you won’t be able to get your bow back it will help strengthen your muscles.
