## Description

Compact, lightweight, and stylish wide-angle lens for X Series The “FUJINON XF16mmF2.8 R WR” features a focal length equivalent to 24mm (in the 35mm format) and has a maximum aperture of F2.8. It helps to deliver the best results from Fujifilm’s unique X-Trans*1 CMOS sensors. Small and lightweight, the lens offers very high-resolution performance due to the optical design. The XF16mmF2.8 R WR lens adopts an inner focusing system*2 driven by a stepping motor*3 for faster and quieter auto-focusing. Metal parts are used extensively on the exterior providing a premium yet robust feel, while the aperture and focusing rings have been designed to be comfortable and easy to use. The lens is also weather and dust resistant, and operates in temperatures as low as -10°C, making it ideal for shooting in a variety of conditions. The XF16mmF2.8 R WR will expand the lineup of compact, lightweight, and stylish lenses, which currently includes the FUJINON XF23mmF2 R WR, XF35mmF2 R WR, and XF50mmF2 R WR, further broadening the appeal of FUJIFILM mirrorless digital cameras.

Review: Surprisingly sharp - Online reviews are misdirecting. It is very sharp lens and silent one on that. It has no issues focussing on eyes even with mere monitor lights. I got it because it looks very nice unlike latest fuji lenses that costs a lot and looks ugly. It doubles down as webcam lens and this will be used far more. I had used samyang 12mm for that but that was too wide and af is not there. Plus sharpness was not there because many a time you would loose picture if you enable blur background or put a picture background. Though 12mm was better than 25mm lens that was sharper but Bokeh would prevent image identification and thus background blur was not possible. I was wondering whether Bokeh would prevent this lens as well but it is just right focal length for webcam. And was surprised how sharp it is even at 2.8 though Bokeh is a struggle with this small aperture lens. And it is small in size, silent and looks really good.
Review: Reasonable prime lens - The lens is well-made. The bayonet thread needs to be fixed. Focussing time is low.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How is this lens in low light situation?**
A: In my experience focus is pretty spot on even in low light when used on an X-Pro2 and X-T2. It's definitely slower than in a well lit environment, but that's to be expected of any lens.

**Q: How well does this lens do for capturing real estate interiors?**
A: Good enough! Not exactly wide like the rokinon 12mm but still wide enough for real estate.

**Q: US or gray market lens, I need seller to answer?**
A: Us for mine.

**Q: Is this compatible with the x100f? would it be a nice gift for someone who has the x100f?**
A: No, the X100F is a fixed lens camera. Check out the Fuji WCL and TCL instead, those are Wide and Telephoto conversion lenses for X100 series cameras.
