Does this leave a protective soft film on skin? I see it has dimethicone, so thought it might. Your experience for very dry hands in winter? Thank you

Yes, it does. The product does leave a fine film on the skin as a protectant against chaffing and skin breakage. My husband has eczema quite severely in winter and this has protected his skin against cuts he normally obtains with regular use after washing his hands. We love it because it is inexpensive and readily available at all of our sinks.

It has fragrance in it. Can you describe to me how it smells?

It's smells like baby lotion but is faint the smell goes away after a while then it becomes to no smell. Very soft fragrant

What is this comparable to?

Comparable to something that doesn't work at all. it dried my hands out super badly and they started cracking... Don't buy.

Is this lotion hypoallergenic?

Don’t know for sure, but I am very sensitive to many lotions and scents, but I have no issues with this one. I am very happy with it.
