Review: EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED - I NEEDED THIS SOMBRERO FOR A HALLOWEEN COSTUME PARTY. I WENT AS THE CHARACTER R.J. MACREADY IN THE JOHN CARPENTER MOVIE THE THING. R.J. MACREADY WEARS AN OLD SOMBRERO STEAMED AND BENT TO LOOK LIKE AN OVERSIZED CAMPAIGN HAT. i NEEDED TO STEAM AND SHAPE THE SOMBRERRO TO LOOK LIKE IT, AND THEN COLOR IT TO LOOK CAMO-BROWN. I DID NOT KNOW IF THIS HAT COULD BE DONE THIS WAY OR NOT. WHEN IT ARRIVED IT WAS IN NEW AND IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AS WELL AS BEING IN PLENTY OF TIME TO STEAM AND SHAPE IT AS WELL AS PAINT IT AND LET IT DRY. NEEDLESS TO SAY IT WAS PERFECT AND, AND AS WITH EVERYTHING ELSE I'VE ORDERED ON desertcart, I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN THOROUGHLY SATISFIED AND WOULD RECOMMEND THERE SERVICE ALWAYS. BOB RUSSELL

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Completed Husband’s Costume
*by T***L on July 1, 2026*

I ordered this Sombrero for my husband for Halloween. It worked perfectly and he had no problem with the fit of the hat while wearing it for the evening. It is definitely worth the price.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great top for those without a big head
*by C***D on November 2, 2015*

My adult head is on the smaller size and this Sombero fitted well. My only complaint would be the string that keeps it on your head or around your neck - it is a tad short and needs a proper supplemental clasp to be easily adjustable.
