Great peace of mind.
This is a great product to have for power outages and SHTF situations. I like that it can be easily removed and taken with you, and can be used in a different well.

Worst $600+ I ever spent
I ordered the 50' kit... when it arrived I saw that I needed an adapter kit to shorten it. It never mentioned a separate kit, only that it could be shortened. So I ordered one... after 8 days and nothing I chased down the order. Lost somewhere in their system. Finally got it so off we went to our off grid land and the well casing that we put in. Followed all the instructions- dubious of some of the days- super glue, crimping aluminum to stainless steel. Got it all cut to our length and in the casing. Started pumping and drew water... at first! Then it stopped and we couldnt get anything out. We pulled the entire straw, took off the strainer at the bottom, and could see a mess in the tube around the ball. We could it back up to take back home where we have running water to flush it out. We pulled the entire wire plunger from the straw, and flushed the ball out from the bottom , eventually. Wrapped around the ball was a birds nest of plastic shavings- obviously from someone threading the end of the straw. In the birds nest of shavings were 2 pieces of fine wire about and inch long- both looked as if they'd been pig tailed at some time. We flushed out the straw and rei tered the ball and wire plunger. We wont know if it works til we go back up to the land at least a week from now. To say I'm highly annoyed would be putting it mildly. 7 hours of driving time wasted, 1 day of fiddling with rebuilding a new length- for nothing! I was not impressed with all the tightening parts being made of vinyl or plastic. I have my doubts as to its functionality at all right now. Maybe I can update something positive in 2 weeks. Right now it's the worst $600+ I've ever spent...Updated edit; After contacting FloJak and speaking with Cody, I redid the wire system that holds the ball captive. They offered me a new set up, but mine was 175 miles away to ship back to them. I opted to try to repair it first, and if that failed get the new one and old one swapped out. I decided against using the wires that came out , and decided at Cody's suggestion to use stainless steel brads. I looked at all local hardware stores w no luck on stainless steel. I remembered I had some brads for a nailing gun that were stainless from a job I had done in a bath area. I separated 2 off the clip, and heated them w a torch and pushed them thru the straw in the existing holes. They were 16 gauge and stuck in good. I clipped off the protruding end and sunk the straw. It is now working! Overall the whole thing was a HUGE hassle, but FloJak was willing to work with me, so I take my rating up to a 4 star!
