Kalex Telescopic Fishing Kit & Combo

We bought 2 of these to take on a backpacking trip in the Rockies with our 8 and 10 year old. It was a last minute purchase and I’m so glad we did it. Everything we needed was in the box, except bait, so the price point was quite reasonable. My husband had them ready for use within a matter of minutes at the first lake we were at. Granted, they have fished quite a bit, but these were user friendly for our kids and easily set up for a lefty too. These were great quality- not like a cheap little kid pole or anything! They packed down so small I thought we forgot them initially. They went right into a side pocket adding minimal weight and size to the pack. Every time we came upon a lake, we’d take a nice break from hiking and these came out! While they only caught some pretty small trout, they loved fishing. It was nice to have them along and be able to quickly have them out and useable. I don’t think we will ever go without these!

Was excited to receive rod and reel. Packaged well and product functioning as described. Quality and function of telescopic rod were impressive considering the affordable price tag. The prespooled (6lb mono) 200 size reel operated smoothly with long consistent casting distances! Inaugural bass caught with spinnerbait just yesterday! 😊 Time will tell of durability of this brand and setup... 🤞 At this point I would recommend Kalex Telescopic Rod and reel! The only thing i would point to as a bit annoying is the unusually long handle. Feels awkward to cast initially requiring practice and hand adjustments.

I thought this fishing pool would not last, but I still have it today. It's been almost two years now and I still use it for fishing, twice a week. I would like to buy this product again from amazon, but it has been unavailable for a while and am still waiting when I am able to make this purchase again. This product has exceeded my expectations.

This is a packable rod for traveling. I first purchased a 12 footer to carry to the beach. It worked well all week. I can't say much about long term durability(yet), but I did bring in a 20 inch black drum and the rod performed well. Is it good value for the money? Well, that really depends on the price when you purchase it. For the price I paid, it was a great value. I have not tried the reel, as I had a larger reel I use in the surf, but for the cost, I would have paid the price even without the reel. This is not my first telescopic rod, and comparatively, I would rate it highly. I have ordered several more to make my beach gear more portable (than two piece rods), and all have come well packed and without any damage. I have even ordered several to give as gifts to family.

I LOVE this rod. I am not a crazy avid fisherman but this was an upgrade from my little 3 ft pole I purchased to do fishing at the local lakes and ponds. I am so happy with the quality and the fact that it easily collapses down for me to throw into a backpack and take the bike down the road. Only complaint is that the packaging seems wasteful and excessive. Fortunately the cardboard used is recyclable.

This rod was well worth it for me.. very light weight and easy to travel with and durable. With me having a smal vehicle this works perfect. My only complaint is that it doesnt hold much line and it tends to develop a lot of back lash tangles from time to time even with adjusting the drag but other than that its decent.

I have not used the combo yet but with that being said, the rod and reel arrived packaged the was it should be, I was impressed as to the care and time it took to package each item. The rod has a good quality feel to it and extends fast and firm. The reel is one of quality and looks like it should cost more., The cost for the combo is worth it and I would recommend it. Will continue the review after I take it out on the water and put it to use.

I bought this for my husband for father's day we went fishing on father's day he caught a catfish and while trying to get this fish on shore his rod snapped. The fish was only 5inches long so it should not have broken his rod. I am very disappointed with this product. I tried calling the company for a week and got put on hold each day for over 2 hours got tired of waiting so decided to right this review.
