FINALLY! A Scalp treatment that works!
===Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with the manufacturer and always write from my true experience. But please note that I received this item for free in exchange for my honest review.===Review begins:ALL my life I have been plagued by a flaky scalp. I have tried countless formulas and none have really helped. About the only times I have not had issues was when I was shaving my head B-A-L-D.I have used this product 3 x since I got it, and it is working! It has a variety of oils to help your scalp and hair, such as Coconut, Castor, Tea Tree, Peppermint, Spearmint and Ginger oil to help rehydrate your hair and scalp. It also has Charcoal powder bound to microcrystalline cellulose, which is what looks like black poppy seeds in the picture above. And that last item is the secret. The charcoal "seeds" are what help exfoliate and break up the flakes in the scalp so that when you rinse out your hair and scalp, it rinses the flakes away as well.It is very easy to use. Take an amount about equal to 1 joint deep and three fingers across in your hand (you will see what I mean when you try it) and massge it well and deep into your scalp. Lift them roots up! Get it down deep! After all the problem is deep. I mean really massage it in. Not roughly but get it all worked in.Then, and this is critical mass here, rinse it like you are trying to put out a fire. Not no 5 second rinse. No Sir! No Ma'am! Rinse it until you cannot feel the seeds in your head anymore....... and then rinse it again for good measure. Take a few minutes to get it out completely. Once you have done that, follow it up with your favorite shampoo, rinse it out and towel dry it to perfection. The oils help keep your hair hydrated and to also rehydrate your hair, thanks to all the damage that can occur due to daily life, such as air, pollution, blow dryers, heat, chemicals etc.The mfgr. recommends 1-2 x a week usage. I did it 3 x in 10 days and I am getting the scalp where I want it..... flake free! Your usage will depend on your needs. I find it best to towel dry my hair, but I keep my cut just past military regulations, even though I have been off active duty for years. So for me it is easy to towel dry. If you have long, lustrous hair, I still recommend you towel dry it even if it takes longer.Part of the purpose of all the oils is to nourish and rehydrate your hair. Blow drying can undo that. But the choice is yours and as I alway say, YMMV.If you have dry scalp or a flaky scalp, you will want you use it. At $29.00 current price point, it is way cheaper than salon treatments. So it is a 5 star recommended buy. And the Just Plain Larry seal of approval (for whatever that is worth...LOL)JPLEnd of Review===Thank you for taking a minute out of your busy life to read my review. Ehhhhh
I really like Unwashed, but I don’t see the hype in this. I have really thick hair and I get a lot of scalp buildup. I had high expectations for this, but overall I feel like it didn’t do anything. The scrubby portion of it dissolved before I could even get it to my scalp. It has a nice cooling sensation, but my hair felt oily after. It smells really nice, but sadly I will be returning. $30 is way too much for this.

Good cleanser, but not scalp scrub
More gummy than scrubby. I have thick hair and by the time I worked it into my scalp, anything that would have been a scrub dissolved so it was more like a thick shampoo, but provided no relief to my scalp. On the positive side, was a great cleanser for my hair - could feel it removed the build up, without drying it out. But again, not a good scalp scrub.

A good purchase for me
The smell is pleasant, its has a good consistency to it.I like that it cleans my scalp, you should probably use a little but, my scalp felt much cleaner and not too dry. I would buy again.

Best dandruff product ever
This product has changed my life. After just one use the difference was INSANE. Like I’ve honestly never been so in love with a hair product. It’s worth every dollar. 20/10 would recommend.

What sorcery is this?
I know I heard unicorns musically neighing when I washed my hair with this UnWash Charcoal Detox Shampoo. I am sure this is what they use to keep their cornsilk tails and manes glistening as they prance in their magical forest home.My first dip into the tub with my fingers was with trepidation. On scooping up a quarter sized amount I saw what looked and felt like gluey putty on my fingertips. It looked kind of gummy. I was skeptical. But onto the crown of my wet head this went and I massaged it into my scalp. There wasn't a whole lot of lathering action at all and not any significant amount of slip. It just felt like I was pushing around wet Flarp in my hair. It sure smelled good though, like melons and cucumbers. Refreshing and clean, attributed to the synthetic 'fragrance (parfum)' ingredient in the list on the container.Second dip. Pushed more flarpy putty into my hair. About another quarter sized amount to cover the rest of my scalp. My hair is really thick, both in strand diameter and number of hairs on my head, so it was a bit of work to get this stuff distributed well. My hair is long too but I only applied this to my scalp as directed. Then I rinsed. Then my hair sang. Literally. My hair audibly squeaked. Yeah. Squeaky clean. I didn't realize I had so much build-up on my roots. My hair is virgin, no coloring or bleaching; I hardly use any hair products, but when I do it's mostly on the ends to control fly-aways with some smoothing action. My scalp is clean and healthy. I shower every day, and shampoo and condition with a botanical, sulfate free pair about every three days. I don't have dandruff or any type of seborrheic dermatitis. So I almost fell over in the shower when my hair sang that cornsilk-tressed unicorn song to me. Wow! It's never done that before. I suppose I've had some residual buildup that has accumulated from silicone styling products and the like. That stuff can be stubborn to remove and harsh sulfate clarifying shampoos are usually the answer.Yes, I'll be adding this product to my hair and scalp care routine. Sometimes you don't even know that you need things in your life until you take a chance and try them. Like a ride on a magical unicorn.

Bueno
