Thank You ! ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Decent AC (humid place review) *by J***E on August 7, 2017* We brought a 10,000 BTU for bedroom. It was working so well that we brought a 12,000 for the living room/dining area. These AC manage to keep the rooms cool (with tube removing water out) in a crappy insulated home in very humid Louisiana during summer months. Both arrived in a wear-and-tear box, but the AC and its components are not damaged. The company can ship it better though.-- 2 months into the summer --For the 10,000 BTU, it works well in our bedroom (200 sq ft). Since we live in a very humid place, it effectively removed the humidity from the air, but it accumulates a lot of water inside. Although the description says it has auto-evaporation, we use a tube to remove the water. Everyday we got about 1-2 buckets worth of water (b/c of the humidity). Removing the water actually makes the AC runs quieter and spit out colder air. Before we used a tube, the AC runs loud and you can hear the water chugging inside.For the 12,000 BTU, it works okay in our living/dining room (500 sq ft). We also use a tube to remove water from the AC. It does have trouble keeping the temperature below 80 degrees during mid afternoon, but this is probably due to our larger than advertised area (and cooling the hallways) and bad home insulation. But it is okay, since the elderly people like it warmer than usual.Overall we are satisfy with both AC so far. Normal noise level for an air conditioner. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great overall, but some cheap plastic parts... *by K***Y on June 15, 2016* I've been using this for about 1-2 weeks and so far, I love it! The fan is fairly strong, but I have a 360 degree oscillating fan to help distribute the air, and they work pretty well together. It's about as loud as a regular window unit AC would be (I'd estimate between 50-60db, but that's not from any accurate measuring tool). I don't find it annoying, I like white noise, but you wouldn't be able to hear some one whisper if you're standing within 3 feet of it.The window unit is made out of somewhat cheap-looking plastic, but it fits in my 2'x4' window ok. I don't really like how the sliding panels are adjusted/held in. The pin falls out (am I supposed to replace it with a nut and bolt?) and the holes predrilled into the sliding panel don't fit very snug on the sides, I would have to drill my own hole for a proper fit. I will be installing a small amount of foam tape around the edges and insulation around the rest of the plastic to help keep the hot air from re-entering the room. I'll check the plastic every so often, and when it gets to the high 70'sF, the plastic gets pretty hot, which makes me a little worried about any fire hazards. I live in a tiny house (<250sq.ft.) so a small fire would destroy my whole house. Other than that, it does a good job of putting out cold air efficiently and consistently. I'll post pictures later.... ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really good so far, quiet and good looking unit. *by S***8 on August 14, 2020* I've only had this unit a few days but so far I'm impressed. I've had so issue with noise. I can barely tell when the compressor turns on. The fan is fairly quite, especially for the amount of air it puts out. I'm in a townhouse and I got this to help the central air which is struggling to cool the whole apartment because the equipment is old and the management is too cheap to replace it. My central air has run pretty much non-stop for two months. So this Portable AC will help take some of the load off. It was 90 degrees yesterday and ridiculously humid here in NC. This unit was immediately effective at cooling the living room and kept it comfortable all day. The central air os able to handle the upstairs and it only kicks on every now and then. Installation was fairly easy however, be prepared to seal some gaps. I have my unit venting out of a window with the exterior screen down to help with dirt and bugs. I've noticed that the area where the exhaust hose snaps into the window mounting kit there is a lot of warm air blow back. I sealed that with some sealant I bought a while back to reseal my exterior dryer vent. The window mount itself has one piece that is larger than the other, which is common for an adjustable piece like this. Obviously the smaller side leaves a gap. I'll either seal this with some outdoor tape or some weather stripping. I feel like Honeywell could include this but it's not a huge deal. You'll also want something to seal the gaps between the two windows if you have double hung windows. It didn't seem to affect the cooling in any noticeable way and I could only tell by really trying to feel around the mounting unit for leaks.All in all, at least initially, I'm very impressed and pleased. I had read other reviews saying it was really loud but I'd say it's quiter than most window units I've ever heard, especially for it's size.Update-First... Wanted to update my room size for this unit. My living room is 16x20 with 8ft ceilings.One week in. This thing has been run pretty much non stop since I got it. We've had all the kids (7 of them) for the last 4 days. The compressor runs a bit more with everyone here and us constantly washing/drying clothes and running the dish washer. All of these are in the kitchen which is attached to the living room where the unit is located. If I set it below 75 it runs fairly continuously. If I set it at 75 or 76 it seems to run some and then shut off. If that gets a little too humid or warm I turn it back down for a bit and the room cools fairly quickly. At night we turn it down to 70 or 71 and it cools the living room easily.I just emptied the condensation and from both ports I got a total of 1/4 cup, almost exactly. That's running in NC in very high humitidy.
