Nioxin Scalp Recovery Anti-Dandruff System Kit | For Itchy & Flaky Scalp

I used the 3 step treat exactly 1 time and it cleared 95% of the issue I was having. I was suffering one of the worst psoriasis out breaks I have had in years. I spent the last 2 months unable to stop scratching my head and trying every treatment I could, including prescription shampoo and it helped a little but just I was miserable. my hair dresser recommended this and I tried it and I barely have any scaley areas and the itching is almost completely resolved.

So, I read a lot of mixed reviews in regard to this product. I was on the fence about it reading reviews like "doesn't work" or "not good for your hair" and "my stylist says it doesn't work." However, I've been using this product for a month now because for some reason my scalp got super dry at the beginning of the year, seemingly out of nowhere I might add. Literally every time my hand went through my hair it looked like it was snowing and I've never had a dandruff problem before. I opted to buy this product and give it a shot. Now, everyone is different and it may not work for everyone, but I did notice that for me it started working after the first use. It was essentially an immediate reduction of dandruff, not as much I had hoped but I simply continued using it every other day. I've got next to no dandruff after a month of using this product. I liked it so much that I had to buy the 33oz bottles so I could continue using it unhindered. If you're skeptical, that's okay but I would recommend using this as a trial run before jumping to conclusions after a few days of use. Surprisingly the conditioner does keep my hair soft a smooth, mind you if you're taking hot showers, that might be one of your problems as well, I learned that taking a minute to rinse off your entire body in cold water will help seal your hair and close the pores of your skin. Don't just get out of a hot shower thinking it's fine, trust me, the cold water is only temporary, once you turn it off you'll be fine.

I have used this for around a month and noticed a huge difference. I went from a lot of large flakes to a small amount of little flakes after the first wash and serum. I think the serum is the most effective at keeping the dandruff away. Before finding this product I was embarrassed about the state of my head. After a month of washing I am more confident and when I check my head for flakes they are harder to find, or not at all. I did purchase this product on sale and I would certainly buy the whole set again if needed. I think for upkeep the serum will be enough. The smell of all the products are very pleasant.

Gave a minty feeling for the first couple of uses, not so much anymore. Just started getting dandruff a couple months ago wanted to get rid of it asap. I do still get dandruff here and there, but it did help with most of the dryness I was experiencing. I like that it comes as the set but for the amount of shampoo and conditioner with this price definitely gonna look into alternatives that will hopefully rid it for good

TL;DR - It works, I love it, try it. I have had issues with untreatable scalp psoriasis for years, and over the past few years it has been getting worse. Huge chunks of flaky dander (so thankful to be a blonde), shoulders covered in dander (never wear black), and scratching my scalp until it was bloody; sometimes it would be too painful to sleep. This is the first product I have tried that worked. Full stop. I used the full 3-step (shampoo, conditioner, serum) for about a week straight and finally noticed major results. I will say after the first use, some very large scalp flakes came up, but that stopped after the second use, and by the 4th use I was shocked by how not red and painful my scalp was. The shampoo is very foamy and a little goes a looong way. The conditioner is very moisturizing and I love it. I have pretty wavy hair and a lot of treatments I have tried in the past strip your hair of all moisture, leaving it dull, lifeless, and frizzy. This one does not. I have also struggled in the past with treatments causing patches of excess sebum production on my scalp (thick, almost waxy oil that makes your hair clump together and the more you wash it the worse it gets); I am always apprehensive with new treatments that this will occur, but again, I was safe with the Nioxin. I have been using it for a little over a month now, and I no longer use it every day. Sometimes if I start to feel itchy, I put a little of the serum on my scalp after showering and that seems to help. I probably only use 1-2x/week now, generally if I've done something that makes me sweat a lot and am not able to wash my hair right away.

My hairdresser recommended this because I have scalp issues. I’ve tried every other remedy you can think of, including medicated shampoo which was just not ideal. This is the only product that has helped get my scalp issues under control! I use it once a week and it has significantly improved my scalp! While not perfect, and a bit pricey, it’s 100% worth it. And it smells amazing!!

This product is wonderful. I was introduced to this product years ago with all the things that we put in our hair. We think we know what we’re doing but once you do the research or find out that some products are really not good for you, especially with the water that we have now to even wash our hair. I do strongly suggest using this product for your scaling your hair. It definitely works however the cost of this product is very high. The bottles you receive are the length of your hands and I have very small hands go elsewhere.

I had persistent dandruff for almost a year and tried all sorts of other shampoos and treatments including prescription but only this set made a difference 🥹 flakes are gone and scalp oiliness has subsided

I likeshampoo and conditionar, dont see serum working on itchy sculp in any way, its just cold and feels good for 1 mint when applied and then feel itching again.
