This seemed like a good quality cotton blanket out of the package. Unfortunately, it sheds massive amounts of fibers everywhere. I have never seen cotton behave like this. Everything this blanket touches gets contaminated with fibers. I washed this blanket with other dark clothing and it shed balls of fiber all throughout the laundry. I had to carefully use a lint roller to get all the fibers off my other laundry items. It completely filled my dryer screen with a thick layer of black shed fibers. Then I washed this blanket again all by itself, and there was another large handful of fibers from my dryer screen filter. I washed it a THIRD time, and again got an equally large handful of fiber clogging up the dryer screen. I washed it a FOURTH time and still my washer was full of black fiber residue and the dryer screen was overflowing. I was on the verge of throwing it away and tried a fifth wash... with no change. Big handfuls of fibers in my dryer and shed fibers all over my washer tub. I have to throw the blanket away. I am going to try to attach a photo of what it shed onto my shirt just briefly handling it after a fifth washing. I'll show a photo of my dryer screen filter after a couple of the washes too. I've had many blankets and clothing items over the years, but never anything even remotely as bad as this blanket at shedding fiber.

I don't like to write negative reviews. It's not really my style. But with the new year I've been trying to trick out my bed and make it a haven. When you read about this blanket, "luxurious" and "soft and luxurious" are the prominent words. And LOTS of stars. So I bit. This is a decent cotton blanket not unlike basic cotton blankets. After the initial washing it is stiff. I know it will soften eventually. It's not soft and it is not remotely luxurious. I wished I'd not washed it, but returned it instead.

Let me tell you why I am giving this blanket a 2-star review. When the blanket arrived I loved it!!! It's very soft, warm and pretty on my bed. I use it as a bedspread on my king-size bed. I waited a few weeks and washed it according to instructions. The darn thing shrunk so much it's didn't fit the bed like it initially did. Even allowing for a modicum of shrinkage, as it is cotton, I feel it had shrunk too much. Then the pilling. I have a garment shaver and I ran out of time and energy trying to shave off all of the pills. I thought I would try washing it again - same stuff, different day. I didn't bother shaving the pills this time and the blanket doesn't fit at all now. Then I reached out to Blue Nile Mills today. Because it was 5-months (nearly to the day) since delivery they were unable to help me. Do any of you wash your bed covers that regularly? I am single, have no pets, don't use it to sleep with, so it wasn't necessary to wash it. Anyway . . . . after I told Blue Nile Mills that I would not be a return customer then took my phone number and said if they could do anything, then would. They have a 30-day return policy. I appreciate policies, but . . . . Now, the lady at the customer service desk was very nice, I will give them that. I will also tell you that I sent two emails to their "contact us" email address and I never heard from those emails. .

For the price, I guess this is fine, but . . . - I bought the king to use as a lightweight bedspread on a queen bed. The color was nice, and after the initial wash, it looked okay. - It is way too small to use on a king bed and does not hang over the edges at all. - After the second wash, it looks like a cheap blanket that didn't hold up well at all. The pilling snags are small, but are all over.I will still use this under another blanket or coverlet in cooler weather, but not as a top layer.I will not buy this brand again - disappointed.

Way too small for my king bed. Advertised dimensions are 90" x 108". After washing/drying following the instructions on the blanket, mine is 82" x 99". That is 16.5% smaller than advertised, and it doesn't even begin to properly cover my bed. I did not measure it before laundering, so I do not know if it shrunk from laundering or if it was this small to begin with.The blanket itself is beautiful; has a lovely texture, perfect summer weight, and is very soft. Plus the Aqua color perfectly matches my bedding. But what good does that do me when it doesn't fit the bed?

This blanket is just ok. I imagine the stars will continue to go down over time. I bought the red one for my couch, and it's just not that soft. Definitely not "superior" to anything. It's ok for a nap, but not really very comfortable. I regret getting the black one also (sigh). It also strangely seems to gather more pet fur than other blankets. The black one is NOT soft, it is almost crunchy, wish I returned it!!If you're looking for a REALLY nice 100% cotton blanket the Target "Liquid Cotton" blanket is fantastic.

Nice light weight blanket for 100F+ summer heat that stays 70F+ during the night.Covers the bed nicely with extra material going over the edges like a 'normal' blanket would, unlike others that are too small to actually use despite ordering a king sized blanket.The reason I give it 4 stars is because it leaves lint, I find it on my pillows and shirts if I lay down with one on, but it's not too bad and I'm sure it'll go away with time and washes.Also because it's called an "all season" blanket, but I wouldn't use this in anything but a hot summer, you can see through it easily if looking at a light.. I don't imagine it'd keep you very warm during cooler seasons, but might make a nice addition on top of your normal blanket if you're extra cold.

This is my second purchase in this blanket but a different color. The first one didn't create a lot of lint when I dried it the first time, It wears just OK after multiple washing but does have a lot of pills now so I ordered another one. The second one created a lot of lint and I had to empty the lint trap 3 times during the first time in the drier. I hope it doesn't continue to shed or I will regret my decision to buy another one.

I love this item. It's light weight, it has plenty of length and width, I love the colour, the texture, and the diamond weave pattern. If you dry this item on high heat it will shrink a little, but it still retains enough length and width. I would definitely recommend this item, and purchase it again if needed.

Soft, thick and sturdy! It has an interesting texture thanks to its lovely, intricate weave. The gray one appears more taupe in color. Got the king-sized one for my queen-sized bed so that the blanket drapes nicely around the edges of the bed. Would buy it again in more colors!

Love this blanket. Beautiful colour, nice texture, heavy but breathable. Great for spring/summer. It does shed a lot the first few washes as I had read in reviews so thankfully I washed it on its own. Not a big deal though and it's always a good idea to wash new items alone anyways.

Nice pure cotton blanket at a good price. Bought dark brown & colour did bleed a little during first few washes. Also shrunk about 10% even being washed in cold & hung to dry. Still would recommend though.

Not very soft but definitely warm if used over a duvet. Traps the heat and is very toasty. There are a few pulls after only having it for a couple of months, but it is nice and looks good hanging over the edge of the bed. Good price for what you get.
