It is also abundantly graced with very, very nice photos that actually support the text in addition to presenting the beauty inherent in Nature, even the nature of the humble turtles we generally pay scant attention to.

If you're expecting a nature guide that lists turtles and tortoises in an outline format, this is not the book you want. This book is a nice, in-depth, scientific look at these amazing creatures! It's a great resource for those who want to know more than the basics.

If you like turtles this is an awesome book. It's well written, interesting and covers turtle evolution, their history with man and all the different breeds. Plenty of pictures and charts.

This book is a masterpiece. What a source of great information. It has so much information and beautiful pictures, maps and so on. It will take some time to finish it as it is a big book. But it's worth it, I am sure. More books like this one <3. I love reading about those amazing creatures.
