Review: Much better than the ad makes it look - I'm a sucker for safety, and was headed on a long road trip up the Pacific Coast. So I thought I'd give this product a try. I was expecting an interesting idea with an expectedly low quality effort. But I was very pleasantly surprised when I opened the box and started playing around with this thing. (I had mistakenly thought it was made in China, but it's actually from South Korea.) It is very well made. Thick, heavy plastic throughout. Very strong magnets (that are coated in a thin layer of rubber/silicone, to keep it from scratching the paint on your car). Bright LEDs, good battery capacity. It even comes in its own plastic protective case that guards it very well without taking up any more space than necessary. And (as an electronics engineer, my favorite feature) an actual on/off button. Most devices use a simple momentary button. But that means the device is always on in some capacity, as its "brain" has to be watching to see if that button gets pressed. It wastes batteries, and will cause them to leak battery acid after a while. But if you use an actual "click" or non-momentary switch, then it breaks the connection to the battery when switched to off. That way it doesn't drain the batteries when not in use, and won't guarantee they'll leak after a while. I have other roadside emergency equipment that uses a simple momentary button, and I have to take the batteries out of those devices while they're in the case in the back of my car, otherwise the batteries will be dead when I really need them; which makes them take longer to deploy in an emergency. Whoever designed this product deserves their million dollars. It's well designed and executed. While I've been lucky enough to not yet need this product in an emergency, after about eight months of ownership, I can say I am very happy I purchased it and would do so again without a second thought.
Review: Very Bright, highly visible, and easy to use. - This product is awesome! You can use it closed, as a straight wand held in your hand to wave off cars, or direct traffic around an accident or stalled vehicle, or extend the arms in the shape of an arrow. The magnet on the base holds the flare firmly to the left or right side of the vehicle to point the direction traffic should move to avoid collision. The three different patterns of lights (1. steady, 2. All steady, 3. Chaser down shaft with double flash on arrow head), provides good options for different situations. I purchased 4 of these LED flares, 1 for each of our vehicles. The 2 AAA batteries are easy access under a panel on the side of the handle, with a finger tab release (no screwdriver needed), and they provide plenty of power to light this up, and is highly visible in both daylight and at night. Batteries will inevitable go dead, so I packed the wand in a plastic road emergency box with 6 of my LED discs I purchased, & included a box of extra batteries. The flare comes stored in it's own plastic tube case with a snap on cap to keep it safe. This is a great product, and I would buy it again (maybe two per vehicle).

I'm a sucker for safety, and was headed on a long road trip up the Pacific Coast. So I thought I'd give this product a try. I was expecting an interesting idea with an expectedly low quality effort. I got the arrow LED lights to keep in our roadside emergency kit for our RV… and am very impressed with it!! It comes in a nice protective hard plastic container and batteries were included. It has nice strong magnets on the end. Also, these are VERY bright lights!! I hope we never need to use it but if we do, it’ll sure be nice to have to help prevent an accident.
