I love this magnifier. I looked all over before I got one, checked 2 dozen different types/sizes/brands nd decided to pay a tiny bit more and get this one. I was rewarded quite well for my decision. This thing is so well made. You can see nd feel the quality, definitely industrial minded. It operates so smoothly when it's adjusted and holds in place wherever I move it to. The lights are well placed and bright but not blinding bright, perfect for viewing. The lens is fantastic also, which in the end, is what this is purchased for, it's simply a well thought out and well made item and I'm very glad I decided NOT to cheap out and buy something of lesser quality. Don't try and save by purchasing a cheaper product. If you can't afford the little bit extra that's one thing, not everyone has enough to buy items of this type, but if you can you will be very pleased with the OMMAG. It's not that much more either, I'm not talking a huge amount and it really pays off when you get your hands on it. It 's actually that well made

I've bought several lights that are LED, none of them are what I would call bright. Not like you get from a traditional electric bulb. Including this one. Bright is not a word I would use.I do detail work, and my eyes aren't what they used to be, so I need bright lighting to see. I was hoping for the higher price this would give a lot of light, but it's just not possible. The magnifying lens is excellent though.I use the light from this lamp to cast light across the whole work space, and use the lens when I need it. After this purchase, I ordered two lights you would use for photography, and use one of those on the bench, and that light is extremely bright, and allows me to see fine details.I don't think you can get a bring light with an LED. A traditional 100 watt bulb sheds more light than this lamp. Everything else about the lamp is great, it's just not that bright to me.

The designers must assume everyone will use this thing with the light parallel to your work surface. The fixture has a lock for up/down and can swivel forward/backward but there's no way to lock the forward/backward position into place; That part is simply a friction mount and will loosen over time. A major design flaw in my opinion. All they needed to do was put a small thumb screw at the base of the light to solve this.

This lamp is perfect for my workshop. The lens is large and clear and the LEDs surround the lens in order to provide uniform lighting. The arms are well balanced and very strong easily supporting the weight of the lamp. For once I can clearly see what I am working on without the lamp and lens being intrusive. Highly recommended.

Light quality is good. Even and well diffused. Arm easily stretches to reach around work area. Table clamp is OK but not great. I expected a better clamping mechanism. Magnifier is OK for limited use but I would rely on it for all day work. Optics are good but not great. You have to find the sweet spot to get a clear view of your subject.

The 64 LED Industrial Magnifier Lamp is the best one of this type I could find. The 6" lens and 42" reach are what sold me. After using this lamp I can recommend it as a first choice with two caveats. The cord is only about 4' and the led diffusor causes artifacts from the leds, nether of which is a real problem. The build quality is impressive with a mat black finish that is finger print friendly. This product takes around two weeks to ship. It's worth the wait.

LED lights are not quite as bright as the florescent light that this replaced...getting used to it!The arm - works Great

This is an amazingly well made lamp for the price. I've had experience with several of these types of magnifying lamps and this one is very well made as well as having a very good quality optic and LED lighting. It also came very well packed, which was a good thing as I heard quite a loud thump when the delivery driver dumped it at my front door. I'd highly recommend it to a anyone.
