I needed to reduce from 1/4" hose to the smaller 5/32 size. **Q: Is this safe for aquarium use?** A: I would not use this Brass Reducer!! I would use Plastic!!! **Q: Is this suitable for gas?** A: I used it to reduce my temporary rubber hose fuel line from 5/16 to 3/8 and it has worked just fine.
