The holes for the design make this pretty useless when trying to keep hot plates off a wooden table.

That how I want

No grip on any sides...utensils or plates slides from the trivet with the slightly touch. It even slips from it's stand when we just move the stand or take another trivet from the stand

No complains at other aspect, but the pattern itself is not centered, which I'm not able to unsee it after first discovered it
