Very technical book. There is a translated version in spanish :D
I think the book is very technical, however, it is not hard to folllow it. You just need a base understanding of pattern drafting, meassurements and some maths! It also includes how to make your own patterns in illustrator which is awesome. I realized the book is translated in spanish after I bought it :'p. Anyway, I haven't felt a difficulty to understand the technical vocabulary used in the book.I highly recommend it, if you want to improve your knowledge in the bra patternmaking.

Great book, very technical.
Very technical, mathematical. It has really great information, probably more than I will ever need. But trust me, you will need to be proficient in maths to draft bra patterns and figure it all out. I think I prefer Beverly Johnson's book and patterns where most of this is done for you and you make appropriate adjustments. A lot of this is just too much work for me! I will keep it for reference and trouble shooting for sure. Jennifer is pretty genius at this and it's a phenomenal book, it's just a bit over my head. You can download her pattern from the book on her website whether you have the book or not. That's nice. I'm on her Facebook page and follow the ladies making Bras there. Jennifer has the best underwires out there by the way. She is so helpful to everyone! This book just isn't for people without maths skills and lots of patience...

Worth Every Penny
If you want to draft a bra from start to finish, this is the book for you. It's worth every penny. If you'd rather not draft your own bra pattern, this is the book for you. It comes with the Eve pattern and plenty of online support from Porcelynne.com.

I loved the idea.
I loved the idea of this book. I long to create my own pattern, but the book is difficult for me to understand, perhaps because I dont already know enough about the process. Will search for something more basic for exactly what I want. Basics.

Great read. Packed with information!
This is a good quality read. I found this referenced in other reading material, and by bra making groups. I've just started my first sports bra and can't wait to use the patterns this book.

Excellent for beginner to advanced sewist to create beautiful bra's that FIT!
I am a very happy customer.... been following this designer since starting to sew my own lingerie. This is the third book I have purchased from this designer (others are Bare Essentials: Underwear and a pattern design book). The Bare Essentials: Bras book is well laid out and excellent for someone first delving into sewing their first bra or someone looking to alter patterns, pattern drafting and grading. The book is divided into 3 sections from beginner (for those sewing your first bra), intermediate (pattern manipulation) to advanced (with pattern drafting and grading chapters). Each section has extensive pictures, charts and charts to plug in your measurements to calculate whatever is needed for your pattern (calculations are in the intermediate and advanced sections)The beginner chapters include EVERYTHING starting with the anatomy of the bra, tools/supplies, fabrics, machines and stitches, and then moves onto fit, construction.... the book is 281 pages... very detailed, and the only book I will need for constructing beautiful bras that FIT! If you are more advanced there are sections for intermediate and advanced (which I have not gotten to yet!) The book also includes patterns for sizes 30A-40F.There is also a Facebook group for those working through the book... this group is very active with on-demand help, advice, tips, you-name-it.... the author is also part of the group and often replies to posts.I just cannot say enough about how awesome this book (and designer) is... oh, and notice this is the 3rd edition! This book is a gem for all those that want a bra that fits (as most store bought do not). The authors website also has lingerie & sewing supplies, additional books, workshops and online-classes (coming soon!).The author also has other books on design and underwear, patterns and kits on the Porcelynne website... the patterns I have purchased also have step-by-step detailed videos on youTube that walk through creating your sportsBra (with sizes going up to N cup).I purchased my book directly from the authors website before the book was available on Amazon.

Excellent bra making reference
I had been waiting for the third edition of this book to come out ever since I heard the author was redoing the way the book talks about drafting, and I'm so glad I finally have it!The first section is an amazing reference of materials, tools, and techniques. I also really enjoyed the section on making nursing bras, this is something I've wanted to try for a while and I'm glad to now have really thorough information on how to do it.The best part, in my opinion, is the section on drafting, creating a sloper, and using it to create additional patterns. I'm still working through this for myself, but even from a quick read-through you can tell how much work went into writing and perfecting it. It's a math-based approach that, when completed, will give you the ability to create basically any style bra pattern customized for your measurements.Overall this book is exactly what I was hoping for and I will be getting lots of great use out of it.

Technical, leaves you to do a lot of the measurements
Like Suxanne commented the book it very technical but that's exactly what I was going out of my way to find as for me I'm always confused where random measurement comes from and understanding of why something requires measuring makes it all click for me. she explains how she came up with the measurements and gives you space to write your own as well as instructions on how to do some of them. She also provided a link to her website that figures out the calculations once you but it your main measurements. I'm not a reader but each of the steps are around two sentences with a easily readable diagrams as well as instructions of if you choose to do the patterns on photoshopIt is written relatively informally, I just wish there was a glossary at the back of all the terms she used. As it took me a while to understand what the difference between the bust and chest measurement were for example but apart from that easy to read and rationales where explained well.Lucked out on this book!

Very simple!
I was very skeptical at first but I’m really loving it!!! I regret not buying the print version (I bought the digital in case didn't like it). I will probably purchase the printed in a few months. Can’t wait to try stuff out. I might not have come across it yet but I thought perhaps it would say how to draft bra blocks? It seems it assumes you have a bra pattern already. It’s okay if not though as I have other books. This one explains things very simply which I’m very happy with. The simplest instructions I found. I haven't drafted anything yet but fingers crossed! I'm gutted the underwear version isn't available; otherwise I’d purchase that too.
