4/liter Chinese Herbal Medicine Cooker with Ceramic Heater

This pot does the job. I have used a similar device in the past but it broke after years of use. This one I bought was even better as it changes to keep warm after it’s done vs continuing to boil.I would recommend this if you need to make Chinese herbal medication.

It does not auto shut off like advertized but still a good product

Nice herb pot, however, it makes a Mess when pouring! Keep a paper towel handy. It is also NOT the color pictured. It is an Ugly Brown color not at all yellow/orange. This is not something you would want to keep out on your counter..yuk. It does work better than having to use a crockpot and scoop and strain herbs.

When I first got the cooker, I loved it for the two reasons other reviewers have mentioned: 1) ceramic heater, 2) slow and fast cooking mode. However, it became dysfunctional after only 3-month usage. No matter how much water I put in, it will stay at the "keep warm" mode and refuse to cook the medicine. That's really unfortunate.

Two excellent features I would like to highlight for this product: First, it has two options for slow and fast cooking, which allow the herbal medicine to be cooked fast first and slow later. This is the right way of cooking herbal medicine to preserve good elements. Most other herbal medicine cookers only cook fast which eventually destroys good elements of the medicine. Second, the heat pole inside the pot is coated by ceramic so it does not create dust. Most other herbal medicine cookers have the pole made of metal (stainless steel) which creates dusts around it. This is a perfect electronic herbal medicine cooker.

Not a good design. Drippy teapot spout. Water flow under the spout and make a mess when I use it. Cooker doesn't have power auto off function.

Works perfect as intended if *USED* correctly and highly durable. Have been using it for years without problem and have multiple of these.
