The first one to be delivered seemed in good shape, but I went to lift the handle while cleaning it and the handle feel right off. It's not like there was even able pressure being applied, it literally fell off. So I sent for an exchange despite some misgivings...I could tell that the handle had little soldering applied to keep it in place and I was not hopeful that the next one would be better. Well that one arrived broken in the box. The wire had snapped off on that one also. I really wanted a stainless steel slicer for cleaning and durability... I've dropped the marble one before and broke the marble, but this is just very poorly made. You'll be lucky if you get one or two uses out of it before the handle snaps off.

except for some fasteners, don't leave it in water in the sinkthree stars because the unit came poorly assembled and needed tweakingthe screws holding the shaft mounting were stripped and the tapped holes buggeredi'm a mechanic, took me about ten minutes to set this slicer up real nice,regular folks should have it delivered ready to gocame with three (3!) spare wires, but for the life of me i cannot ever see one wearing outit's only gonna cut cheese ffs

I wanted it to work for making slices from a 2lb block but maybe it's not sturdy enough. Or at least I am having trouble getting the wire to cut straight eventhough I thought I got the wire pretty tight. Maybe it will work for smaller pieces of cheese but I'm just continuing to use a knife...

I ended up returning this item when unable to assemble. The handle slid around and ended up snapping the wire. User error or not I wasn’t happy with how flimsy it was and equally disappointed when I had to assemble it myself. Spend your money on something more substantial!

I can’t figure out how to install the slicing cord into the arm.

The best way to cut cheese. Easy to use, comes with replacement wires.

This is not a good product. The wires were all at least 1 inch shorter than the distance of the ends they needed to be attached to. My husband had to adjust/bend the handle just to get the wires to fit. The screws on the bottom constantly loosen, thereby losing tension on the wire, and it will cut wobbly. I am highly dissatisfied with this product and will return it.
