Very helpful for gardening
This has been a game changer for planting in my garden. My flower bed soil is clay, and digging has been much easier after using the auger drill bit. I've found if I keep the tool surface level, I don't have to reverse it out. If you buy, make sure you have additional batteries for your drill available and charged because they can drain quickly.

Made Planting So Much Easier
I purchased this auger drill bit to help loosen the soil and dig holes for new plants in our front yard, and it worked extremely well. Our soil can be pretty compact, but this attachment made the job much faster and easier than digging everything by hand. It attached easily to our drill, cut through the soil effectively, and saved us a lot of time and effort. We were able to plant multiple flowers and shrubs with much less strain on our backs and hands. If youโre doing any gardening, landscaping, or planting projects, I definitely recommend this auger bit. It was a great purchase and made a big difference in getting our yard projects done efficiently. ๐ฑ๐ท๐ชด๐ช

So Helpful
This auger has been a life saver. It didn't take but a minute to dig a hole and set my bulbs. The quality of the auger is good, we have gravel around the house due to construction. The auger made it's way thru the gravel better than a shovel. I wish the portion in drill chuck was square or was flatter so it didn't spin in tough ground.

Great tool but needs power
Construction is great. Maybe needs a more pointy head so it is easier to get into the soil. Also does not work on hard soil unless you have a real powerful drill. So the soil has to be really soft for this tool to be effective.

Great for loosening packed soil in preparation for digging holes.
I used the auger with my 3/8โ cordless drill for loosening soil to help dig holes for planting shrubs. It worked very well. My soil was hard packed and hard to get into with a shovel. After using the auger I was able to dig holes easily, with no problems at all. Just be careful - if the auger hits a root or rock the drill could twist and wrench your wrist. The auger is holding up well after moderate use. Iโm happy that I bought this smallest size rather than one of the larger ones.

Value for your money, worth it.
Tried this bulb anger today, and it worked great! We have clay soil and it's hard to dig by hand, shovel or post - hole digger. This did fit my hubby's drill. So it goes as fast as the drill, and its sooooo much easier to plant my bulbs, seedlings and plants. It's not so powerful that it kicks out of my hand. But then again it all depends on the drill.

Item without a drill
The auger was supplied without the drill. It is just like a piece of rod without the drill. In the picture there is a drill attached to the augur . But in the user manual they are suggesting to use electric drills. Amazon should refrain from advertising such vendors.

awesme tool
Bought this to help loosen up the soil around my rhubarb. I worked like a charm. I used my cordless drill and it easily went down into the compacted soil and with the drill in reverse it easily came back out. I have also used this to loosen up the soil which helped greatly in digging a hole. The metal is sturdy and it seems to be constructed well.

Save a lot of time drilling 12" deep holes (for installation of bamboo poles for fencing)
I used it to drill 12'" deep holes (7 in total) to install 1 inch diameter bamboo poles for a temporary wire mesh fence separating our yard. (We'll keep pets on one side of the yard while spraying herbicides on the other side). Half of the holes were drilled very quickly. For normal soil found in backyard, it took about a minute to drill to a depth of 12" with a 3/8 electric corded drill. When drilling in the clay area, mixed with a fair bit of small rocks (1/2" size), there was some wear observed at the leading edge of the spiral. On several occasions, the electric drill stalled because the bit probably hit larger rocks underneath and could not move on. I think I had also chipped a portion of the leading edge of the bit in one of these cases. It was understood that I was using the bit as a construction tool instead of a garden tool! The electrical drill was quite hot to touch too, indicating lots of power being transferred to the drilling bit. Yet it survived breakage, just some wear observed at the leading spiral edge. I would recommend this tool because the drilling work (for planting, for example) can be done very quickly. Just remember to ease off on drill speed if hitting rocks.
