Sharp looking classic nylon Umbro shorts. I think they ran a bit large, for 6’2 thin man. Bought him a size large but should have done medium.

Buyer beware. I think I washed these no more than 6-7 times in total, & suddenly not even 2 months after my purchase, the rear seam has completely blown out. I didn’t hear or notice the split happen while I was wearing them? I only noticed it after removing them from the wash. They were actually very comfortable shorts to wear, & I thought they fit me fine, & definitely didn’t feel too tight at all? So I dunno, maybe I should’ve purchased a size up? Either way, I’ve never had this happen with other shorts, so it’s incredibly frustrating that after such minimal use, these shorts are now completely useless. I don’t leave many Amazon reviews, but just wanted to make others aware that this could potentially happen to them also :(

It was a Thursday afternoon. We were at happy hour at our favorite cantina and my husband began telling me how he always envied other kids in school who wore Umbro shorts—his family was too poor to buy them in the 90's—and he'd never know if they were any good because they aren't made anymore. Or... are they? I really thought carefully about this listing because I, like my husband, believed Umbros were no longer being made. It almost seemed like this could be a fake. But with the help of a $3 margarita, I bravely clicked "Buy Now" and here we are today. My sweet husband is living his childhood dream in these shorts and says "wow, I'm a cool kid now."

Got the black beauty/white Men's Checkered Shorts, thinking they were like a pair that I got at the sporting goods store which are silver/gray, have mesh pockets, and vents.. They have the same pattern, but1. These are a bit tapered towards the leg opening from the butt, so they aren't "loose" around the things (they don't drape like basket ball shorts)2. The material is thicker and heavier than my other pair3. there is no vent at the side of the leg (doesn't matter, but might help id different types)4. the pockets are made out of the same material as the rest of the shortsThey are a bit cheaper than other umbro shorts, but the material feels heavier and thicker, which isn't what I prefer, and without the vent and mesh pockets, I get the feeling that these will get a bit sweaty/hot during a workout. Otherwise fine.
