No reason why you cannot paint. It is designed to penetrate deep into the wood and barely affects the surface. It is designed to treat timber window frames which are then normally painted. I have used similar treatments on timber and painted over them with no ill effects. If in doubt, try a small test piece first. **Q: I want to apply two applications.
