Oh, and I use the webcam with this ring light https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TDJ7PWC/ and it's a solid combination (I ordered another ring light for my wife as well). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It's a Logitech c920 Clone (almost) *by C***S on December 15, 2020* IMPORTANT NOTE FOR LOGITECH WEBCAM OWNERS: If you ALREADY own a Logitech webcam, (i own the C920), and you have the Logitech drivers / software installed on your PC, and then you plug in one of these 3rd party webcams into that SAME PC. These 3rd party webcams will install it's drivers into your PC which will overwrite the Logitech webcam drivers. The result? When you try to open your Logitech webcam settings, it WON'T show you the Logitech settings, it'll show you the default windows 10 webcam settings. (which is crap) The fix? You have to reinstall the Logitech webcam drivers / software. I found this out when i tested one of these 3rd party webcams on my main PC and i lost my Logitech webcam settings. __________________________ I'm calling these non Logitech webcam "3rd party webcams" because they look like Logitech clones. I already owned a Logitech c920 webcam but i needed 2 more. __________________________ In my uploaded photos: My Logitech c920 webcam is the one that has the black Velcro tape on it and the privacy cover (it doesn't come with a privacy cover i bought that separate) __________________________ The Logitech c920 webcam cost me around $70 years ago. When the covid19 pandemic hit, the prices and availability made getting another Logitech c920 difficult. The prices went up to $100+, if you can even find one. So i bought multiple 3rd party webcams on amazon to try to find the best webcam (These 3rd party webcams are definitely some Chinese made products with lower quality than logitech but they do work) __________________________ THE WINNING WEBCAM I PICKED IS: Vitade 928A Pro Vitade 928A Pro webcam is the closest thing to a Logitech c920. It's not 100% exact but it's very close. __________________________ Vitade 928A Pro webcam PROS: - Adjustability - The Vitade 928A Pro webcam has 1 feature that the Logitech webcam doesn't have which is... It let's you rotate the webcam left and right and you can also aim the webcam straight down. The logitech let's you aim down very slightly but that's all it let's you do. (Logitech didn't think of that but they should add that to their webcam) - Plug n Play - These 3rd party webcams don't require that you install software / drivers. You plug it in and it installs itself quickly and it just works...BUT then you'll be confused because how do you adjust the settings? The zoom? etc... Turns out there's some webcam settings built into windows but it's confusing on where to go to find it, how do you open the settings option? I still have no idea. The software i use OBS has a link to adjust the camera settings that's where i go to click to open it. - Size - It ALMOST matches the Logitech c920 webcam compact size exactly - Cost - It's the price of the Logitech c920 if there wasn't a covid pandemic. But the Vitade 928A Pro webcam randomly goes on sale. Lowest i seen it go on sale is around $50 something. If you can get it for around $50, at maximum I've seen them going for at most around $69. Around $50 i think that's a good deal right now during the pandemic. BUT the Logitech c920 is a trusted webcam that will last for years. (Mine has lasted 5 or more years) - Field of view - It's the same field of view as the Logitech c920. If you're sitting at a desk and DON'T want your WHOLE background in view, get this webcam if you want a really WIDE field of view, the EMEET C960 is better NOTE: With the EMEET C960 , a larger portion of your room will be in view and you can't zoom in to hide it, if you zoom in then you'll zoom in too much on your face. The EMEETC960 also looks like a clone of a different Logitech webcam model. The size of this webcam is larger and more bulky than a Logitech C920 webcam. NEW NOTE (shrink your field of view): I found out, if you're using the OBS software, you can actually hold (i believe it's the ALT key) and then you click and drag the left / right of your webcam box......The result: It's sort of like shrinking your field of view. You can hide the extra space to the left and right of you. You can also do that for the top and bottom of the webcam box. - Privacy Cover - The Logitech c920 does NOT have any privacy cover, you have to buy that separate and attach it like i did. NOTE: You don't need to use adhesive Velcro like i did, i put that there for something else but i found that the Velcro does make the privacy cover stay in place really well so it doesn't slide over easily. The Vitade 928A Pro webcam has a privacy cover built in (behind the glass), there's a little plastic switch at the top of the webcam, you have to manually slide the switch over with your finger to cover the lens. Since i owned 3 of these webcams i can tell you that this switch can be either easy to slide over or very stiff. If the Vitade 928A Pro privacy cover switch is stiff you may have to return it to get a replacement OR that'll be your new reality having to work extra hard to slide it over each time. Privacy cover on the other 2 webcams.... The Nexigo N930AF webcam comes with a very cheap privacy cover that i think had adhesive but that webcam sucks so I'm not going to even discuss it. I don't recommend that webcam. EMEETC960 doesn't have a privacy cover and i honestly don't know if they even sell one for it because it's so large and bulky. You may have to use black tape as a cover. - Auto Focus - Surprisingly all webcams had decent auto focus. I moved the webcam VERY close to my face and they were able to adjust the focus by themselves. I personally just use the manual focus but they all did a decent job focusing. - Auto Focus Noise - The Vitade 928A Pro makes a click nose when it focuses. I don't remember if it happens when it's in auto focus but i know 100% when i manual focus it will make that noise. The other webcams are quiet. - Quality - Vitade 928A Pro was the best quality out of the other 3rd party webcams in my opinion. Quality looked very close to a Logitech c920. - Lag - I didn't notice any lag compared to my Logitech c920 webcam. If you're using these webcams for Twitch and you create a small webcam box over your stream, no one would even notice the difference between many of these webcams. It will all look pretty much the same. _________________________ Vitade 928A Pro webcam CONS: - Software - This is the biggest negative of ALL these 3rd party webcams. Logitech has really good and visually nice looking webcam software that is easy to use and works well. That Logitech webcam software will let you fix all your webcam settings no matter what software you use your webcam in. These 3rd party webcams are plug and play but then you don't get the nice software settings to adjust things. BUT what i found out was Windows 10 has basic default webcam software / settings built into windows to adjust ALL webcams. It doesn't loo pretty it's super basic but it has many settings. YOU JUST NEED TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO OPEN THOSE WINDOWS 10 WEBCAM SETTINGS, where is it located? I open it via the software i use for my webcam, if not for that i honestly don't know how to open it. So i still prefer Logitech's webcam software. - Cost - It cost around same as a Logitech c920 would have cost. For that price i rather buy the Logitech c920 but because of the Pandemic, it's difficult. - USB cord Length - This webcam has a VERY short USB cord. You may need to buy a USB extension cord if you're cable managing, need more distance or moving your webcam at all. The cord may also come very bent out of shape. NOTE: The other two 3rd party webcams have longer USB cables. - Makes an odd click noise - When you zoom in and out, turn the webcam on / off, it does a little clicking noise. It sounds odd and cheap. Makes it sound like it's broken. (I've had and test 3 of these and they all do the clicking noise) I wish it didn't click but because this webcam was the best i tried i decided to keep it anyway. I'm not using it as my dedicated webcam so it doesn't bother me. __________________________ OTHER INFO: - Microphone - I did NOT test the microphone on ANY of these webcams. Not even my own Logitech webcam. I never use the microphone built into my webcam. If you want a proper good quality microphone i suggest you buy a dedicated microphone. Or get a Logitech headset with a microphone built in. In the end, a dedicated microphone will give you the best sound. - Webcam Settings - NOTE: ALL the 3rd party webcams by default will have AUTO turned on for many of it's settings (until you turn it off) so if you see the colors changing randomly, etc. It's because it's on AUTO by default. You have to go in and change the settings (if you can find out how to open the settings) - Defective Test - I ordered 3 total of these Vitade 928A Pro webcams, 2 from this seller and 1 from a different seller. The 1 i ordered from a different seller didn't work well. It wouldn't turn on easily. I kept having to turn it on and off to get it to work. Soooo you should test it by trying to activate (turn on) the webcam and then turning it back off. Do that a couple of times and see if it's dependable, if it gives you problems replace it with a new one. The two webcams i ordered from this seller worked perfectly, still has a click noise but besides that it works. __________________________ IN CONCLUSION: The Vitade 928A pro is a good budget webcam that compares very well to a Logitech c920. But if i had NO webcam and i really needed ONE really good quality dependable webcam to last for many years and money isn't an issue. Especially if it's a webcam for work purposes. I would buy the Logitech c920 even if it's $100. Otherwise, this Vitade 928A pro is a good option. The EMEETC920 is my 2nd pick, also a good webcam just a wider field of view.
