Works great!
I have used these 3 times and I have not once had a leak. I used them on 3 mini split installs and since Im not a pro I dont have torque wrenches and other tools pros have. I ran vacuum and all 3 times held solid. I recomend these if youre like me and trying to install your own units. Just watch how you place them on the flair couplers because they can fall out of place easily and I would assume it would fail when tightened!

Works great
These are not cheap, but I’m not a perfect at making flares and had not no leaks on six joints after using these. Seals verified with a natural gas sniffer.

Expensive but worked
After a leak turned into a catastrophic blowout on a flare joint on my mini-split install, I decided to use these gaskets this time around as a precaution. I saw lots of opinions on the Internet split about 50/50 on whether these are an improvement over nylog blue. Pros seemed to favor the nylog blue somewhat over gaskets, but I am not a pro, so I decided to use them as it seemed like they may be more forgiving of imperfect flares. I also went with this brand as it was the least expensive coated version. There were some bare copper ones that were cheaper, and the brand name flaretite ones that were twice as expensive. I think they are working. I have not detected any leaks this time around, though it is still early in the heating season with its much higher line pressures. Hopefully I still have a full refrigerant charge in my system come Springtime. My conclusion: These worked and seemed like good insurance, though they are much more expensive than I think they ought to be. 1 star off for that.

Quality seems to be excellent!
I ended up not using these on my minisplit. When I got ready to install them at the outdoor unit, I realized that the liquid line on my unit was too small/the fitting for it was way too big. The vapor line seal was perfect size. Turns out I had purchased the wrong seal kit. It was completely my fault as I should have looked a little more carefully at the listing. So I ended up just making the flare connections without the additional seals and that has worked perfect for me. No refrigerant leaks at all since installing the unit 6 or 7 months ago. Despite not using these, I could tell that the quality was good and I could definitely see how they could help with ensuring that you have a leak free connection. As a result I gave 5 stars despite not actually using them. I would recommend them too.

Works as advertised
These seals work very well in preventing refrigerant leaks in mini split systems. Inexpensive compared to the cost of recharging a system due to leaks.

Half leaked, half held up.
Product didn't work on my mini split/heat pump, thought I would grab 2 packs of these for a multi unit zone to be safe and avoid any leak issues, well I dropped one of them and when I got off the ladder stepped on it so I was one short, I installed the other 7 and had to do one normal flair and don't you know the flair with just the nylog and proper torque wasnt leaking but 4 the flair seals were. Idk y and I wasn't sure if they could be used again once losening the line. So to me it was a waste of almost 40$, mind you 3 didn't have any leak issues, so maybe it was something I did or I don't know, so idk what to think.

Expensive but worthit
These little things cost a fortune for the amount of material used in them but I have to say that they are priceless. Wish I had bought these a couple of months ago when I first started trying to vacuum my mini split linesets. They just wouldn't hold a vacuum. I tried Nylog. No luck. I bought a new guage set. No luck. I thought I had a larger issue so I called an HVAC guy to come and check it. After weeks of no show I called another guy. After weeks of him no showing I tried a third. Each one said they would come and vacuum my linesets. Nobody ever came. So back to trying on my own. I undid my linesets, checked the flares, reapplied Nylog, connected everything up. Wouldn't hold the vacuum. No luck. I bought a new vacuum pump and gauge set. No luck. I bought these FlareSeals, put them on, vacuumed, and I was actually shocked that it worked - but it held! I won't do another one of these projects without these priceless FlareSeals.

Like propose. Last solution...
For me this is a last solution. My application was at low pressure and not toxic.

Worked as designed
I used these as a precaution, and they appear to have done the job in providing the seal between the two copper ends. Hope it lasts and proves worth its price as they appear to be slightly overpriced for the material amount being supplied.

Great for DIY
These are cheap insurance against a not so perfect flaring job. Let’s be honest DIYers are hit and miss on flaring copper pipe. We practice a few times. We use tools that work but aren’t the best and 95% of the time our flares are pretty good. These washers eliminate the 5% failure rate. They make sure that no tiny scratch lets that imperfect flare leak. At the cost of refrigerant compared to the cost of these washers I call that cheap insurance. They are probably an unnecessary cost for a pro setting a dozen hvac lines a day but for the homeowner who is setting just 3 sets of hi and lo pressure lines and hoping their flares hold refrigerant for 10 years or more these are invaluable and very reasonably priced.
