The books gives a brilliant insight into the progression and use of firearms thoughout the history of the Met Police. Very informative and not full of blah. Superb pictures also compliment the text. This book is written by a guy who has been there and done it. His knowledge is extensive and you can see the research that has been undertaken to compete this book. All I can say is buy it now!!! You will not regret it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ WELL OVERDUE. *by H***Y on December 19, 2013* Congratulations to Steve for stepping up to the mark and producing such an interesting book. Again I am biased as I worked with Steve who I count as a valued friend. I had to keep reading this book, it brought back memories and is a wonderful account of not only how the department developed into nineteen but also shows some of the extremes that the police have had to encounter over the years. He provides the detail that is not always reported, along with some sound reasoning behind the events. As stated this is but a fraction of all the incidents over the years. It is a book to be proud of.
