BIRKENSTOCK's success is rooted in its commitment to the art of making orthopaedic inspired shoes. Over the centuries, it has accumulated an unrivalled wealth of experience that it has passed down from one generation to another, with each generation growing and expanding that knowledge. The Mayari is one of our most popular styles. This elegant silhouette features delicate straps and a fabric toe-loop for added comfort. The straps have buckles for an adjustable fit. Offered in classic footbed in Stone Birkibuc.

Bad Experience
These things aren't high quality like they used to be. First, they dont use real leather for straps. The straps are made out of this synthetic material that wears and breaks easily. I purchased a pair for my mom and she wears them on occasion. The strap broke and the soles have almost full tread still. We were walking around a mall when the strap broke. She had to go back through the mall with a broken sandal. Forget about Birkenstock helping you. They will tell you "each seller is independent" "you must contact the seller that you bought them from to see if they have a warranty plan". What a hassle. Seriously, I wont ever buy a pair of these ever again. Save yourself or the person you are buying the gift for some trouble, buy a different brand of $100 shoes that wont break on them.

I will order a smaller size. Maybe my feet have shrunk.
I love birkenstocks and was immediately attracted to this style. My only problem is that they do not fit according to the attached chart. However, I love the look and feel of the Mayari style, so I'm reordering them in smaller size. I normally wear a size 8, but the 39 was too large.

Make sure you look for "FREE RETURN SHIPPING" because sizing is off
I didn't do enough research before ordering these.I was really shocked that these were not leather for the price. The sizes are so far off, I'm not sure how Birkenstock can keep claiming that size chart. We tried to go by the measurements they provide, but these were at least 2 sizes too large. Also--and this is on me--check to make sure you order from someone who offers free RETURN shipping if you are not absolutely sure what size you wear. I just assumed they were, which is the only reason I even ordered them from Amazon, and now I realize it's at least $13 to ship them back. That "return shipping" has fine print, which I just completely overlooked.

Choose Right Size, carfeul with tripping
Depending which seller has the Birkenstock listed your size will vary5 1/2-6 is 36 for some sellers while 37 for others. My coworker bought the 37 from me. She's fallen twice with. Both times tripping off the left foot. She has not worn them since. Apparently the left sole is thicker then the right. I just ordered a pair of Sydney for myself and the same problem. Left sole is slightly thicker than right. I staggered twice. I am not a newbie user. I have owned Granada for the past year and no issues at all. 3 stars for the overall product. Check them before you wear them!

Definitely Fakes!
These are definitely fakes! Before I bought these, I saw one review saying that their shoes came with a black logo on the sole rather than the brand's yellowish color, as well as made with different material than original Birkenstocks. But since the majority of the reviews were positive, I went ahead and purchased them anyways. However, mine came and I realized they looked exactly the same as the pictures of the fake Birkenstocks I saw in the review. Everything was off - from the packaging to the material of the shoe. I was very disappointed! Do not buy these if you don't want to risk receiving counterfeits!!

Runs slightly large but AMAZING comfort!
I adore Birkenstocks! I've have my pair of clogs for 6 years and they are still holding on strong! I decided to get my first pair of sandals for the summer and am VERY satisfied. However, make sure to order a size smaller. I always wear a size 9 (size 40) however I needed to return the 40 and get a 39 instead. They fit perfectly.

Maybe fake
Sadly I must revise my review as I believe the sandals I received were fake, very good fakes, but still fake. I returned them and ordered from the Birkenstock website instead. There were several things that tipped me off: the box was correct, but you should never judge a shoe by its box. They had a terrible smell of plastic when I recived them, both pairs of real birks I have bought smell like leather. There was so much glue in between the straps and the cork on my shoes and that should always be a red flag, especially for a brand known for quality. There is no glue in between the straps on the shows I bought directly from their website. These shoes are the same price on the official Birkenstock website so I woks advise going there just to be safe.

Bought for Plantar Fasciitis
I bought this sandal because it's supposed to be good for people suffering from plantar fasciitis. The footbed is comfortable walking slowy around the house, but out in public needing to walk at a faster pace rushes your foot up toward the footbed wall and over the toe humps grip. The footbed on this style was more comfortable and more tolerable then the Geiza model and the traditional 2 strap styles like Arizona. The toe loop on this one how ever was uncomfortable and a bit painful. I even tried adjusting the straps, but its more the toe loop then anything and its not adjustable. I contemplated cutting the toe loop off, but I scared to mess up a $100 pair of sandals. Any Birk with a toe divided I believe will be painful, regardless the material. I wear an 8 womens, and the 39 is too big for me in Birks, so I go with a 38 and its nearly too small, but stupidly, Birks does not make half sizes. Sad for such an expensive shoe they do not make half sizes and they are using faux leather now. What a rip off on that. I looked past both those issue, because it was more important that I have a proper footbed and good arch support to help me through plantar fasciitis pain. It did help greatly supporting my arch, heel and foot in all the right ways and helped alleviate pain associated with Plantar fasciitis. All 4 styles I've tried are painful in one spot or the other. I bought Geiza style and will be returning because I know its toe strap will hurt way more then this one, since its a hard plastic looking material. I will continue to try and break this shoe in. Hopefully its comfy and pain free soon. Especislly for $100. Birkenstock need to think better for the consumer and make half sizes. Why do they feel when it comes to their shoes people suddenly only wear whole sizes. How stupid is that.
