When it arrived I was surprised by the weight of the box, much heavier than any other fan I have installed. Even though it looked like the delivery company tossed this out of a helicopter a hundred feet above my house the quality packaging kept everything safe. The picture on the box was of a completely different fan which did give me a moment of panic but from what I've read, they use a generic picture on the boxes. Unpacking and organizing the parts I could tell this was a worthy purchase as everything is solid and quality built. Installation was a breeze. I have read other reviews and agree with the most common installation problem: Installing the heavy cover over the fan motor. First off its heavy! Second is you can't screw the screws in unless perfectly aligned. My solution (and others here) was to use an awl to center the screw hole, the small point slides through easily even if not perfectly aligned and a little wiggling and pushing with the awl will force the holes to line up. You can also use jeweler's screwdrivers to align the holes and hole the cover up while screwing it in place. The instruction booklet was for a completely different fan as well but there were a couple pages inserted in the booklet that were all that was needed. The booklet was a generic installation guide which had all the warnings and safety information about fans in general. Despite what others have said about the instructions these were not very hard to understand. Something unexpected about this fan was the wiring, the remote control unit was pre wired into the fan saving much time and effort over having to do it myself. You only had to hook up three wires; hot, neutral and ground. The wall switch was easy to install and works great. Many reviews state this is a two person install because of the housing being heavy and getting it lined up but I was able to do it myself. One feature not mentioned is that the light is dimmable. To dim the light you just hold in the light button on the switch and it will dim. I'm very pleased by this because I really didn't want to have to rig up a dimmer switch or completely replace the switch and remote in the fan. Compared to fans you can buy at Home Depot or Lowes this is a lot more quality for a much better price. Buy it, you won't be disappointed... Review: Absolutely perfect ! - I purchased two of these fans because I have an open floor plan of living room and kitchen. Due to a fire last Halloween, we lost everything inside of our home. We’re just now moving back in and starting from scratch. I searched for days on desertcart and finally settled on these. They looked great in the pics. The electrician who installed them just left and I couldn’t be happier! They’re darling fans. Very unique. Not something that everyone will have. Not only are the aesthetically pleasing, but they work amazing. No sound at all, and the different speeds are incredible. The amount of air and wind these things can produce is crazy!!! Cools a room or a space right off. Could not be more pleased with this purchase. If you’re looking for something that is a little bit country, a little bit whimsical, a little bit modern and a lot bit classy, look no further. Even our electrician LOVED these. He’s never installed anything like these before. Super super great purchase. They arrived on time, well packaged and they’re everything the add on desertcart claimed, and more. ## Features - 【Specifications】UL listed. 52" blade span. 14-degree blade pitch. 188 x 20 mm motor. Probably up to a year from now there will be LED bulbs available that are as bright. I hope this helps! **Q: Is this fan dimable?** A: Yes. The switch that comes with it has three controls (low, medium, fast) for the fan and an on/off button for the lights. Hold down the light button and it will cycle from dim to high. **Q: I want to install this fan at ceiling light, so there is only one circuit available. is that enough for lights & fan control?** A: Yes, the fan comes with a controller. One circuit is all you need. **Q: Would this fan look good in a diningroom with 8 ft ceilings in place of a chandelier?** A: The fan is very attractive. If you are looking for more class than a standard ceiling fan, I think you'll like it. I bought 2 of them, one for my newly remodeled kitchen and one for the sunroom which is attached to the kitchen. Our new cabinets have all of the optional upgrades making them look like expensive furniture instead of kitchen cabinets. I've had very positive comments from visitors on the beauty of the fans. Bear in mind, they are fans, not Chrystal chandeliers, they are very fancy for fans. I hope this helps. Good luck! ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Adds a touch of class to the room you install this in... *by J***N on March 26, 2017* This fan is beautiful, elegant, classy and quiet. Quality is superb. Not easy to install at all. takes two people. Instructions are weird in my opinion. I had to reread them a few times to make sure I understood them. The fan is georgeous but I felt the blades were dull looking. They have no sheen at all. This is just my personal observation and preference. Dont get me wrong, the blades are made well. Remote is cool but I would not call it a remote. its just a glorified wall switch that happens to be wireless. If you buy this fan I would get it through Amazon because if there is a problem (which there should'nt be as the unit was packed perfectly) they will be there to help. I have dealt with Lamps plus before and I was not very impressed. All in all you should be happy with this fan. I would buy it again. Update 05/31/12: having used this fan for a while i must say it is fantastic! Very quiet. looks great as stated before but everyone that comes into our home is amazed with this fan! wireless wall switch has worked perfectly. This fan really is a bargain considering the build quality which is the best. i have changed my rating from 4 to 5. ## Frequently Bought Together - Casa Vieja 52" Ancestry Vintage Antique Indoor Ceiling Fan 5 Blade LED Light Remote Control Golden Bronze Motor Teak Walnut Finish Blades Bedroom Living Room Kitchen Dining Office Hugger Flush Mount - Casa Vieja 56" Casa Esperanza Vintage Antique Indoor Ceiling Fan 5 Blade LED Light Remote Control Bronze Gold Motor Brown Teak Finish Blades Bedroom Living Room Kitchen Decorative Dimmable Downrod - Crystal Ceiling Fan Fandelier with Lights - Modern Outdoor Fans with Remote Control，Noiseless AC Motor, Retro/Farmhouse Lighting, Dining Room， Living Room (52" --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/143412117-52-ancestry-bronze-hugger-5-blade-indoor-ceiling-fan-led](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/143412117-52-ancestry-bronze-hugger-5-blade-indoor-ceiling-fan-led) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-16*
