Best deal available on wool socks
These wool socks literally changed my life. I have very hot and sweaty feet. I was surprised when someone recommended wool socks because my understanding is that wool is for warmth. While that is true, I now understand that wool also breathes much better than cotton. These socks actually keep my feet dryer and cooler than cotton socks. And as a result I no longer have any stinky feet issues which my wife is very pleased with. That's right, I'm a man that purchased these womans socks. I wear a size 9.5 in mens shoes and the medium socks fit nicely.Great socks. Great price.

These are my favorite hiking socks
I bought these socks several years ago when I started hiking. I use them year long because they are soft and breathable. I washed them many times and they stayed in good shape. After year of use, I needed new ones. I bought another brand of merino wool socks and that was my mistake. They were to tight on the ancles and started to come apart after a few washes. I bought these again and I don’t think I want to try another brand.

Not just for women
These are some of the most comfortable socks I have ever worn. Durable through many washings. I wear them on 24 hour shifts at the hospital in winter. I wear a size 9 men’s shoe and these fit well.

Fairy Godmother Socks
For me, these socks are expensive at $6+ per pair. But holey moley, if I had to sell plasma to pay for them, I would. They are perfect. I don't wear wide shoes, but I like socks to be roomy. But not to fall down. To be warm... but not too warm. Thick... but not so thick it affects how I wear shoes. These stretch easily when you flex your foot but fit nicely at the same time. You know what? Your kid won't appreciate any of the Christmas presents you get them nearly as much as you will appreciate these socks. Get some, and make all the sock dreams you didn't even know you had come true.

Good sock but needs more sizing options!
I was looking to purchase my first ever wool socks as I just wanted to see how they were in comparison to cotton. These socks seemed like a good deal considering were merino wool, made in the U.S.A, and 4 pairs for ~$25 or so which was a lot cheaper than some I've seen at $15 a pair. The reason I went with the "women's" socks is because my feet are on the smaller side (men's size 7) and these are no different than "men's" socks other than the sizing.First the overall quality: The socks seem to be stitched well and if you prefer socks that are more on the puffy side then these are nice, not a super dense weave. There were some loose threads on the inside of the sock but that was quickly fixed with a pair of scissors. The seams on the toes are usually where I have a lot of problems with socks, and these do have thick protruding seams, but they are in a spot that isn't too bothersome in my opinion. I have not used them long so I can't comment on durability yet. These socks did not shrink very much if at all when I washed them in warm water and full heat on the dryer. I was hoping they would shrink a little bit more actually but I don't want to risk boiling them. So if you accidentally expose these to hotter conditions I doubt it will hurt them.Sizing: The sizing is on the large side as many others have said. I would love it if these came in the usual "small" "medium" and "large" sizes so I knew what I was getting and this is the main reason I am rating them at 4 stars rather than 5. (If it was my fault and had just ordered the wrong size then I think these deserve 5 stars for the price). Like I said before I am a men's size 7 and usually wear a small sock size. These socks feel like a men's medium and are fairly close to not being comfortably wearable for me (no bunching would indicate proper sizing to me and these get close).Feel: I've heard wool can be itchy, and these are just a little bit to me. Not a very big deal and I think I will get used to it as I have never worn wool up until now. These are pretty soft on the inside and are warmer than my cotton socks. I would not suggest them in hotter weather though they are not so hot as to make them unwearable. The socks are kind of puffy and not super dense. This makes me feel like I will get some good padding but it doesn't actually absorb much shock. This is just how this type of sock is though so I cannot fault it.Conclusion: Like a puffy thick wool sock that doesn't cost a fortune? Pick these up they are perfect for you. I like the Vermont Tough socks a lot more but they are wayyy more expensive so I better like them more. Appropriate sizing is probably men's 8-10 but I am just guessing.Edit: I have washed these a few times more at full heat in my washer and dryer and most of the socks have shrunk to the perfect size. Unfortunately a few socks seem to refuse to shrink which is strange but oh well at least most of them fit nicely now.

Poor quality did not last long
I really liked these socks at first. Kept my feet toasty and the shorter length was nice. Unfortunately they didn’t last and quickly got huge thin patches on the bottom. I don’t think they are worth the price.

Good Everyday Socks
Great fit, solid construction, and quality materials make these socks a great buy. The cushy, looped interior surface of the footbed cradles your feet in comfort. I haven't tried them in extreme temperatures, but on a chilly April, damp with temperatures in the 40s, they kept my feet warm on the concrete floor of a basement dressing room.I will definitely try other People Socks products.
