A total waste of time and money. Zero stars.
This is horribly written. It is as if the author sat down at a computer and typed out what he knew about the hCG protocol, skipped any editing or spell-check whatsoever and had it bound in a book and published. The recipe for cake (huh?) uses a cake mix with diet soda and orange jello. Just where does cake fit into any of the phases of this diet, with its starch and sugar? The one for some seafood concoction does not even list the shrimp in the list of ingredients. You have to read the directions to find it. The "recipes" in general are pathetically conceived and written. It is not just the waste of money that galls me. It is the fact that it does the whole hCG protocol, as diligently researched by Dr. Simeons, a huge disservice. In fact, where is the recommendation to go read his research, which is available all over the Internet for free and gives insight and understanding to the whole protocol? No where else is heavy cardio exercise recommended in the Very Low Calorie phase of the protocol, but he makes no point of saying that when he gives the usual recommendations for 60 minutes of this and that exercise. Stretching, Pilates and core-building exercises are most appropriate during that phase.DO NOT buy this if you truly want to learn the ins and out of the protocol. There is valuable information out there and I have plenty of other books I got from Amazon that helped me immensely to succeed at the protocol, but I will not be keeping this sad attempt among them.. You have been warned.

Completely inaccurate idiotic guide to the hCG diet plan.
Where to begin. I won’t mention the many spelling, syntax and ingredient omissions in the recipes. But I will point out that his recipes never stick to the maximum 500 calorie limit on the actual phase 2 diet plan. He doesn't know how calories are computed at all. When he recommends lean beef, he doesn't realize that fat in ANY food adds way too many calories even when it is lean meats to make it easy to stay below 500 calories and not get hungry. I know because I've done this diet and lost almost 29 pounds in 28 days and never was hungry at all. I also NEVER ate lean beef because it's never lean enough to use it on this plan. The other specific errors I found were sesame oil in a salad dressing recipe (specifically forbidden by Dr. Simeons) beef steak has too much fat to use in the broccoli-less recipe for “Beef & Broccoli”, “Zesty Chicken Sandwich” in which you “orange all the fruit” (which is forbidden) and vegetables (only one is a yellow onion) in the “Zesty Chicken Sandwich” recipe. I think he just combined his recipes from his slow cooker book into this one because he’s lazy and incompetent. In the ”Apple Chicken with Kale noodles” he divides the”100 g Boneless Skinless Breast” between 2 servings and sticks in “1 tsp Extra virgin oil” plus”1 Crisp Apple” all violations of Dr.Simeons’ protocol. Dr. Simeons said don’t even use oil-based make-up because it would throw off your weight loss and this uninformed twit just turns out books on subjects he knows absolutely NOTHING about. Just other violations of the true hCG protocol. I have no idea what he meant by “Kale noodles” and neither does he, whoever he really is. I think he’s just some made-up name to foist on more of the fake books by fake publishers who know absolutely nothing about their subject matter. This guy is a prime example of it.And on and on and on – “Tikki-Tacos” have ”tortilla shells”, “Taco seasoning”, and “Salsa” added to the ingredients and directions which are protocol no-nos because of sugar/carbs. “Phase 2 Apple Delicious Pie” also has another forbidden Granny Apple.

Needs more content and proof reading
The book seems incomplete and really doesn't do a good job of introducing someone new to the background of the diet. It doesnt even mention the original book Pounds and Inches or explain this has been around a long time and invented by a Dr in the 1950s. There are a lot of typos in the book and also some words missing or wrong word used (auto correct didn't catch). Doesnt really do a good job of explaining the diet, why it works, etc. And also there are foods mentioned in here that are not part of the original 500 cal. diet without explanation as to why author has added these foods or substituting from the original diet. One recipe uses Shrimp, but in the ingredients at the top the shrimp arent listed, only within the text. That's a minor thing. I think authors intention is great and I am glad he is sharing this, but it would be good to spend more time talking about the diet, background, your own personal experience, and I think you should edit the Loading phase because what you have isnt even close to what Dr. Simeon tells us to eat. If this is the HCG Diet for Beginners then there needs to be much more explanation, background, reference to original diet. Luckily, I have done the diet before so am very familiar with it and have read original book. I think this can be helpful, but needs more content and information about the diet if you are going to say "A complete guide...etc" It is definitely not a complete guide. A few good recipes though. It is an attractive book, nice sized font, nice presentation.

Mark Missed! Better Resources Await You!
The book should have been a less expensive e-book. Do people spellcheck and edit anymore? It also contains information that will totally throw you off if you are really trying to get the weight off! I don't usually critique like this but I know what a struggle "releasing" fat can be and you don't need anyone making it harder for you! If you want a wealth of information, resources and inspiration, I seriously recommend you look up HCGChica! She's done the work, the research, and has lived the experience! Anyone who wants to do this plan effectively needs to check her out! Finding her in my personal journey was the best thing that could have happened for me! Unfortunately this book falls very far short of that...Sorry sir...

This is the worst book I have ever read
This is the worst book I have ever read. What with the misspelled words and horrible grammer, it was hard to get through. I am glad I have already read several other books on the HCG diet. Save your money.Pat Red Bluff
