Read and heed the negative reviews. I love the idea that some people may just get a "lemon" and that accounts for bad reviews. Unfortunately, business models are being designed on strategies of planned obsolescence. I don't know if dog toys necessarily fall in that category, but I have had dogs for most of my life. Over the last few decades, I know I have been able to buy dog toy that last longer than a week. That has not been the case for the last few years. This tug duck toy lasted nearly 10 minutes before the rope was detached and shredded and another 15 minutes before the stuffing was all over the living room. Literally less than half an hour for a product marketed as a tough toy. I get that no dog toy is ever going to be indestructible, but this is robbery, plain and simple and it is not just this item or brand. However, I absolutely recommend that no one but this inferior P.O.S.

This was delivered less than 1 hour ago and my puppy has already chewed the squeakers out of both paws and chewed through the rope. This is no more durable than a regular stuffed toy. Have bought other "durable" stuffed toys on Amazon that have lasted at least a few days. Not worth $16.

None of these toys are indestructible! Depends on your dog.My little dog can never break a squeaker or ruin the fabric. However my son‘s dog, a Britney, ruins everything in sight. She can make mush out of any toy that you put in front of her. So as a rule of thumb I will not say that test toy is indestructible! But I will say if your dog is prone to ruining toys it will ruin this one as well as any other one. Dog owners will understand this statement perfectly well. It’s made well. But that’s about all I can say

I bought this for my almost 4 month old lab puppy because she loves to play tug and was very hard on her stuffies (we’ve thrown out three that she’s destroyed so far). She doesn’t like some of the harder fabric tug toys (I think because her teeth get caught in the fabric), so I was looking for something that was a mix of a stuffie and tug toy to keep her playing. This looked great...and added bonus, she *loves* crinkle toys! This came on Thursday and she loved it from the minute I opened the package. It’s now Saturday (literally three days later) and the corduroy panel on the belly is already coming off. The stitching on it is incredibly flimsy and the fabric is really not that great of quality. Very disappointing since she loves this toy and now it’ll go in the garbage. Save your money and find another toy for your pup. This is definitely NOT K9 Tuff.

Update: it has been several months and I still love this dog toy. It goes in the wash and doesn't peel or fade. It's been over 6 months and it is finally time to get another. It still isn't dead yet. But it was usurped by the newer toy as soon as I opened the box. 😁 This toy saves so much money because I only need to replace them a few times a year.Original review: I love this toy so much that I have to keep stopping myself from buying another RIGHT NOW! My toy murderer has not been able to destroy it yet. It's been over a month now. The rope is well connected and allows rigorous tug fights. There are no fluff guts to end up all over the house or yard. The crinkle sound in its tail is entertaining. Finally, the design and colors are pleasing and durable. Although I often have to bring it in from the yard, it hasn't faded.

Ok. So I only paid $4.72 for this chew toys. Reg price what its like $17. So sure i got a good deal, but as others have found not for aggressive chewers. Our dog was having fun squeaking it like crazy, made me thing of my 8 year old when she was younger not knowing that toy drove mom nuts, just loved the sound. That is our dog. So when he came around the corner and had no toy in his mouth but was squeaking out his mouth, yeah something up. That was not fun chasing him down to get that out. All i could think of was OMG that is going to be an expensive vet bill....;-), ...I got it from him, now i have the squeaker. Who is in Control Know....lmfao....

My parents had the gator version of this toy and my pup loved it so much I had to get him one of his own. It's one of the few toys he'll bring to me on his own to play with. For a dog that doesn't really play with toys if there's not food involved that's huge! He loves the squeakers in the hands but has a hard time finding the squeaker in the head. He'll also tug the stomach ropes in and out for a while. I've even caught him gnawing on the horns pretty intently and the thing still looks new. It's also a good size to play tug of war with without worrying about your fingers getting accidentally chomped.Though with my very gentle Malamute puppy this will last forever, my parents' tiny destroyer dogs tore theirs to shreds. One of them can destroy extreme Kongs in minutes. This toy did hold up for a few weeks of play for them as they tore out the squeakers, shredded the ropes, and finally shredded the body. It lasted way longer than they expected so they were happy!

Let me first say that I strongly dislike it when I search for something specific yet other items still manage to creep in. I ALWAYS search for dog toys that are made with "Chew Guard" and somehow this cutie snuck in and tricked me. However, I will keep it and give the K9 Tuff Guard a chance. I also failed to bother looking at the dimensions and this guy is nearly as big as my girl that I got it for. She looooves her babies but can manage to destroy just about anything. But, it IS really a cute design and looks to be well made. I will be updating my comment at a later time, once Bindi has had time to take it for a whirl. Wish me luck!!! oh, and it has not 1, but 2 squeakers which I am not thrilled about. I really wish they would make them without as an aggressive chewer and player can really wear out a human parent with those things.
