Sellstrom 301 Face Shield Uncoated Clear Tint, Aluminum Binding, ANSI Z87.1

Read most of the reviews, particularly the bad ones and figured for the money I'd be fine. As I guessed, the complaints about the shield's clarity was due to their not removing BOTH protective films. I have to admit that removing the film, especially the one on the inside, was no picnic. The friction knobs on the sides that people are stripping out only require a little pressure to keep the shield from falling down. The headband adjuster is pretty neat - infinite adjustment instead of going to belt loop style settings. The thing's comfortable & appears to be well made. If you're able to use some common sense, which seems to be in very short supply these days, you should be very happy w/ this shield. Again, for the money - hard to beat!REVISION: Now that I've actually used this, have to say I'm still very pleased> Used it w/ my chainsaw the other day & it suddenly dawned on me that the aluminum trim is what determines the shape of the shield. It was fine out of the box, but by pulling the bottom in closer to my face increases protection quite a bit. Never had a problem w/ the shield staying up or lowering it. Only thing I didn't like was how hard it is to get the (2) protective films started to remove.

I ordered this for use when grinding my stained glass pieces. It is perfect. I can wear my glasses under the shield and the cover is very clear. Perfect for my use.

I used this shield for some dirty repair work on my RV, and it kept debris off my face the whole time. Assembly out of the box was simple and quick, with no guesswork on how the visor attaches to the headgear.The headgear adjusts easily and fits well once dialed in. It stayed in place while I was working rather than sliding down or needing constant readjustment.Visibility is the biggest strength. The view through the shield is very clear, and handling it didn't leave fingerprint smudges.One thing to know before first use: the protective film on the visor is tucked under the metal binding along the edges, so it won't peel off cleanly as-is. I removed the metal edge binding, pulled the film off in one piece, and reattached the binding. It's a minor extra step, but expect it.For general grinding, cutting, or repair work where you need full face coverage and a clear view, this does the job well.

I ordered this as I watched sparks fly in our new steel garage building as my husband worked on something. After looking at several reviews and price points, I decided to get this one. It is an excellent face shield! As other reviews note, it fits well with the band that can be tightened or loosened, and one can wear eyeglasses easily underneath it. The day after it arrived, we had a tree fall across our road, and my husband wore it when he was using the chainsaw. He is thrilled with this item.

There are many ways to go to the emergency room. One way you definitely don't want is with a facial injury from a cutting wheel that was spinning at 13000 RPM when it exploded and sent chunks of material into your head.There is nothing remarkable or exciting about this face shield. Its strong enough to deflect materials away from your face and its comfortable enough to wear for long periods. The build construction feels a bit cheap but at this price point it has to be. The only thing that really matters is its rated for ANSI Z87.1+. This is the standard at which eye protection is judged to protect.The only annoying thing I noticed was the shield would not reliably stay in the up position when wearing it. Maybe this is a design feature to make your wear it more.Don't risk your modeling career and get a face shield!

I ordered 2 of these safety shields for myself and my 14 year old son to use weedeating. After waiting what seemed like forever for face shield to stop disappearing due to covid I was finally able to find a seller with them in stock and reasonably priced, as covid has brought out way too many that are price-gouging. They were easy to assemble, and now comes the part where you have to pay attention- the shield has a protective film on BOTH sides that has to be removed. Apparently some folks don't read the directions, as some have complained about the shield being cloudy. These are some of the most comfortable shields that I have seen thus far, easy to adjust and a confortable sweat band. Would highly recommend to anybody, especially at the price...

Me gustó mucho la calidad del protector. La mica muy cristalina (hay que retirar los plasticos que la protegen) y el filo de aluminio le da mucha firmeza. El soporte para la cabeza igual muy solido y de calidad. Todo de plastico pero de muy buena calidad. Se siente muy firme y te protege bien toda la cara. Muy recomendable.

Very impressive face Shield. I was looking for a way to wear all my soapmaking gear together in a comfortable way. I noticed this face shield and decided to give it a try. Ive used it a couple of times so far and it works very well. I can wear my glasses, face mask and this shield with plenty of room to spare. It is a very clear shield. Once the blue plastic is peeled off both inside and outside of the shield, Comfort is the main reason Im so happy with this purchase because the way it sits on my head holds the mask around my ears and the glasses on without them falling off as I look down at my work. It fits so well the mask doesnt jab into my eyes the way it does without the shield. This is a great face shield. Lots of adjustments to fit different sized heads. As I bend my head down it doesnt jab into my chest either as some do if they are too long. I cant say anything about wether or not it is heat resistant as that is not what im using it for but the description says its heat resistant. And they are right about everything else. You wont be unhappy with this purchase and I highly recommend it.

Very impressed with this shield. Comfortable, adjusts easily and has already saved my eyes from serious injury. A true bargain at this price. Highly recommended!

Decent face shield. only complaint so far is the retaining tabs are easily moved and on occasion the shield will come loose on one corner or the other. But for my DYI home use, it works.
