This was easy to fit despite the fact the instructions were only found after fitting as they were INSIDE the fully wound blind. And they are in German so you might have to download the English version as described on the instructions. The product is pretty much as I expected (having lived in Germany for a long time I knew about these blinds) and they provide excellent shade from the sun without blocking off the light entirely. I have them fitted on my workshop as the pictures show, including one from INSIDE the workshop where you can clearly see the shade but not a total blackout, really good. I will have to get some ties to stop it flapping about in the wind (when the blind is dropped) perhaps Amazon sell these too. Normally you would use small bungee straps around the balcony rail but not on my workshop of course. I hope it stands the test of time (being an external blind) we shall see but the quality looks good and it all fitted really well (despite not finding those instructions). I would have liked a darker brown colour but this was the best match for my workshop.

I installed this at one end of my patio canopy to improve privacy. On first use, I opened the blind to about 1.5 meters and anchored the blind to the ground using the loops in the bottom rail. A slight gust of wind later, the blind billowed out and the blind was pulled out from the bottom rail revealing a couple of design defects. 1) The width of the blind enters the bottom rail through a slot running the length of the bottom rail. The blind material does not have sufficient anchorage within the bottom rail to prevent it being pulled out, even with a slight force. (I note at least one other reviewer has mentioned this). Only a stiffening strip of material sewn into the folded edge of the blind is provided, which is totally inadequate. I hope I have rectified this by removing the bottom rail, tightly folding over the edge of the blind a couple of times and stapling to secure and re-inserting into the bottom rail. This increases the bulk of material within the bottom rail, preventing it from being pulled back through the slot. Why couldn't that be done in the factory? 2) The end-stops on the bottom rail are not deep enough or tight enough to hold onto the rail properly. I overcame this problem with a strip of white insulating tape wrapped around the end-stop/rail to secure it properly. In my opinion, this is an indoor blind that has been fitted with a (hopefully) weatherproof material, but has not been modified to withstand outside conditions.

What a fantastic product and company. The blinds are easy to cut down to the right width and very easy to install. They are also of a very good quality, especially when compared to others I have seen pertaining to be outdoor roller blinds. I will also mention the level of service provided by the Jalousiescout Shop, very efficient delivery service and also well packaged. They also provide excellent customer service, having supplied me with a part that someone broke while preparing my window frames for painting (they did this free of charge), I consider this to be over and above the level of service one might expect from a 1st class company. Thank you.

the quality is not earthshattering, but to be fair it is not very expensive either. The main problem is with the base pipe, which holds the rings to fix the blind to the floor (otherwise the wind will through it around): The actual fabric is just slotted in and held on each end with a piece of plastic. A stronger gush of wind will just tear it out. The solution I found was to weave a rope (in blue, see picture.. only polyester rope I had available) around the pipe to additionally hold it. Admittedly not aesthetically appealing but it does the job. The wind can't undo it, but I wouldn't test gale force winds... I give it 3 stars because it's cheap only.

Will not be fitting these for a couple of months. The delivery was very good and they are extremely well packaged. No English instructions which is infuriating. There is a website address to download English instructions but when you get there it only has it still in German. Is it really so difficult to put the fitting instructions in for the products destination. A shame really as the company have an excellent looking and hopefully efficient outdoor blind. Have now fitted the three I bought. Have upgraded the score from four to five stars as they do a really efficient job. They reduce heat transference from the glass to the room. There is a marked difference in the temperature but the light reduction is quite minimal. Our bedroom is at least 6 degrees Celsius cooler with the blind down. There is a lot of difference sleeping in 74 degrees as opposed to 80 degrees. They will just lift off the fitting at the end of the summer and stored for winter. Most impressed.

Buen producto y buen acabado, transpira por lo que pasa un poco el viento, pero para el sol y da intimidad, además gracias a los aritos de abajo se puede sujetar al suelo o barandilla.

Buen estor exterior, fabricado con materiales duraderos y de fácil instalación. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente. No es completamente opaco, a tener en cuenta.

Muy buen producto. Llegó una pieza rota y me la enviaron enseguida junto con el resto de piezas que vienen en la caja que acompaña al estor. El estor es de buena calidad, deja pasar el aire y la luz pero evita que los rayos de sol calienten la ventana.

Por aportar una idea para una posible mejora, indicar que al pesar poco, en días de viento no queda mas remedio que replegarlos. No obstante son estéticamente muy bonitos y proporcionan sombra en el porche los días excesivamente soleados que es lo que yo buscaba
