I just received my bottle and it had absolutly no directions on it, just warnings about not getting in your eyes or on you or you pets. How do I use?

I just sprayed it all over my carpet, couch, and the dogs bedding. If you have an indoor dog I suggest you put her/him behind a gate for half an hour until it dries. I bathed and blow dried my dog so by the time I was done doing that she was free to run all over the place again. Hope this helps.

Can you spray it on your clothes?

Not sure if you can spray on clothing. I have sprayed it on carpet though with not staining.

What is the active ingredient?

Phenothrin 0.4%, Pryproxyfen 0.015%, Piperonyl Butoxide 1%, Other Ingredients 98.59%

Is this safe around the kitchen, ie, do I need to cover pots, dishes, etc.

no I would not use it in the kitchen. I use borax or baking soda spread around under the sink and around the edges. It is safe on clothes, carpet and furniture which is how I use it most of the time.
